Nothing has been signed yet though I don't think, still think we should try and entice him.

Why would City completely sabotage their season like this?
Why would City completely sabotage their season like this?

With potentially ourselves and Chelsea being on the lookout for a new manager come the end of the season, they know they have to secure him as quickly as possible.
Is everyone absolutely totally convinced the guy will come in to the PL and carry on in the manner which he has at Barca and Bayern? Anyone thinking along the lines he could actually find things quite a bit tougher than he has so far in his career?
Reckon this is the best chance of seeing if Messi can do it on Tuesday night at Stoke

It's entirely possible.
It doesn't stop him from being my first choice though. Well he became my first choice after Klopp joined Liverpool.
With potentially both being out of the picture, I'm not quite sure who we should go for now.
To an extent I can see why Mourinho appeals to some people but I'm not keen on the idea.
Bild also reporting he'll earn £18m per year... that's £365k a week!
Yikes. No pressure, Pep.
Anyway, makes Pellegrini's position this season kind of tricky. Title seems Arsenal' to lose this season.
Pep more than likely decided his time at Bayern was over a while back. At that same time we was more than likely looking into where his fire lay. Round that time Chelsea had a manager and United were public ally stating their belief in LVG. Neither club I can imagine (unlike City) would have been actively looking into potential replacements. No other club other than city had a clear desire to want pep according to the press and had people on board who knew pep well.
The most logical destination for a while always seemed to be City.

If true it shows city can get the man they wanted and we get the man who's available.
City got the big money...according to Bild...
Yet to be officially approved
Apparently he signed a 3-year deal worth €25m a year at City, according to Bild
If he was sensible, Pep should have actually waited until nearer the end of the season to decide his future, even after making it clear he was leaving Bayern.
There's no guarantees that he will be managing a CL team next season if he agrees now to sign up with a PL team, whoever they may be. Can anyone say with certainty the 4 CL teams from the PL for next season?

--------
LVG Annual: GBP 7.500.000,00 at United
Apparently for an amount of 25 Million to manage, it does not really matter if you will get to the CL or not the first year...does it?

Long term that clearly isn't vital, also the likelihood of City getting top 4 is very high. Unlike us their set up seems very stable, they have a plan that relied heavily on the people they hired from Barca replicating something from the Barca mould. It would seem that was getting Pep, something they have probably been working on for a long long time.
We on the other hand have a 'long term' plan that we seemingly created 2 summers ago and that we are already unsure of.
I find that a bit disrespectful to Pelegrini tbh
While City do seem the most likely destination, I'd expect news and details of any eventual deal to surface through the UK or Spanish (Catalan) media.
The German media will have close links at Bayern that give them scoops on contrctual issues of their own, but not the details of a deal between their Spanish manager and an English club, because I'm not so sure that Pep would have wanted to give such info to anyone at Bayern.
bild is Germanys Sun.
Pinch of salt.

We should not go for Guardiola. I am a firm believer that we should never go for a manager who has been sacked. Guardiola being sacked by Bayern shows he is not good enough for us. We need Mourinho.
