Any idea of the players we could get for one million that would improve the team? I mean, the majority of our squad cost more than that.
Good players have went from costing £10m to £30m, in the time that we've gone from buying players for £6m to £1.5m
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Round about the time Liverpool paid £10M for Joofy and £11M for Heskey, we paid £6M for Sutton.
Not long before that we had signed Henrik and Lubo and got change out of a million for the pair. Probably never see deals like that again.
We also had a manager who had the ability to make us all believe. Now, that is the biggest difference between then and now.
No it's not, the biggest difference between then and now is that Sky's gravy train has allowed Man City to buy up okay players like Mangala for £30m while we buy Boyata for £1.5m on a wage 1/3rd of what we paid Balde.
We pay 1/4 of what we used to on individual player transfers for 1st team starters while football valuations have tripled. Mathematically we can expect to get players about 1/12th as good as the Sutton's and Lennon's.
Ronny's fault though

We paid £65k for the Motm from yesterday's match Jason holt
We're talking about improving the best squad in the country though, not fielding a player in the diddy league to beat Hibs.
Was he from the championship? If Hull City failed to make promotion I'd look to see if any of their midfield felt like a new challenge. They have the likes of Snodgrass, Livermore and Huddlestone.

Not disputing that's our level, that's the clubs general ambition that needs to change. Sadly your level is still about 5 below, you seem chuffed about it though so fair play

Warburton has found amazing bargains
Tavernier could easily be sold for 3m +
Waghorn 2m+
Holt 1m
Obviously Lawell just doesn't have an eye for a player

Snoodgrass wouldn't touch yous with a barge pole
Scott Allan is probably regretting his choice of clubs now
So on the basis of playing in the Scottish second division, these guys are worth £1-3M
Good luck with that one.
Then there is McKay the rich mans Forrest

The same Lawell who bought Wanyama, VVD, Hooper? Bought for under £5m, sold for a combined £27m. Can't really take you seriously sorry

Curly we don't want players from the top 6 of the SPL though, we tried that when DU were a top 6 club, they're not good enough for us. Obviously you're happy to pay wages to that dross, but we want better.

His success ratio to failure ratio is pretty. Bad
Getting excited about Ryan Christie is nice in a cute way, but he ain't going to help yous beat Molde
Do you have Alzeimers? Only reason I can think for the constant repetition of the 'that's yer level' witticism. That, or you're just a condescending cant
Hardcore that really is no way to have a mature discussion, obviously you are worrying about this exciting Rangers team
