Ozils been the best player in the leage this season

Darren The King Fletcher

Sandy hasn't got Spurs blinkers on. He just doesn't know fack all about football.

====================

I totally agree. Ozil is a class player and i dont mind admitting it. His vision and ability to put the ball on a sixpence, through the eye of a needle, is quite something.

I'm not sure he's £50m worth, but he's been one of the better players in the Prem this season. Credit where its due.

That's a tad bias..

I can understand people questioning Ozil's form in his time at Arsenal, though not this season, but to question his quality as a footballer is ridiculous.

he's definitely carried us. 16 assists, next highest in our squad is cazorla on 3

Mahrez and De Bruyne are up there as well. Don't think it's that biased suggesting Ozil has been the best player in the league this season. If he hasn't there's very little between him and the player that has been.

What has impressed me most about Ozil this season isn't his number of assists, which is impressive, because a lot of the assists haven't been massively impressive assists given Ozil's style and talent (if that makes sense), morseso his overall influence in games and on Arsenal's performances.

He had some decent stats in his first two seasons, to be fair, but had far more anyonymous games than this season.

Why are some saying Ozil took 2 season to settle??

In his 2 years with us he helped end our trophy drought and the club now has 4 trophies in his time at Arsenal.

Started like a house on fire until December and then was shattered and got Injured. Next season he started poor due to the WC and then got a big injury. Since he came back in January he has been amazing.

Modern day football consists of

- people more interested in seeing skill wether it comes off or not!
- possession counts for everything yet so many teams that have all the possession still lose.
- messi and ronaldo.. Who is better?
- ronaldo doesn't score for 2 games and he's rubbish
- a player has an average 2-3 games in general and because he's over 30 he's "past it"

So many more and I think it's a shame that nowadays we want success yesterday and also so many people are desperate for the next big player.

So much hype around players that just do not meet the expectation level, I think this is because everything is overhyped.

Look at Rooney, he's been poor for a few years yet he's just won England's player of the year and after scoring that back heel he is instantly back to being world class

It's madness!!!

Do you think he knows this aswel, he's just won England footballer of the year and let's be honest... He's been poor!

No wonder we have no English players coming through, they must feel completely underappreciated!
