evans could well go down as one of the best signings in our recent history. Absolute class act

Albion have got a decent first XI. And the likes of Evans, Fletcher and McClean have been good signings - in different ways.

The trouble as I see it, from way over here, is that Rondon doesn't get the service he needs. And that fault lies at Pulis' door. He needs to set a team out (or make the signing to set a team out) to play to Rondon's strengths.

There was some good football, attacking and passionate, in a few recent games. Tottenham, I think, Newcastle, one or two others.

But recently - for whatever reason - Pulis has gone back into his shell and the performances have been dire.

Maybe that is due to a lack of more creativity as Cox says.

I am sure the problem is rooted firmly in Tony Pulis's head. He's seen the performances against Spurs, Newcastle and Stoke at home, and against Chelsea away, and the results, and the lift it gives to Albion supporters. Then we see dire capitulation at Southampton and the nonsense against Villa.

I shouted out in August 2014 on this board for TP to be appointed Albion manager and for Alan Irvine to be sacked immediately. I still stand by that 100%. But if he's not careful, and if he doesn't change his ways and his mindset, TP is heading for the door as soon as we're safe, because JP is a Baggies fan as much as the rest of us, and he will not stand for poor football, nor for money not being spent as wisely as possible in the transfer market, and he won't want a repeat of this season next season.

I have to agree aries. I cannot imagine any senario where JP is impressed by spending £8m on Chester and then for him to be seen as not good enough for the 1st team.
Then there is Rondon. Another £10m on a striker no better than the one he 'replaced'.
