----------------------------------------------------------------------
This is what I did
I've got one fully loaded, paid £45 for it, had it a couple of months now and easily had my money's worth on footy and movies, if things start to drop off just reinstall latest version of blackbox, happy days
5x... Someone told me I would need a laptop plugged into my TV to download Kodi and I do not have a laptop
Anyone know anything about the mobdro phone app
Kodi takes a lot of maintenance I have found. You find something to watch the PL then it skips after a few weeks and you need a nrw one.

Use EZ File explorer App, ad google as a favourite then download via the browser in that. You can install from the download when it completes. 5min job.
Make sure you enable third party apk install from settings first(under developer options).
DVD player, who still uses that?

Its a Blu-Ray one which turns my normal HDTV into a smart one
Woah, woah woah - wtf are "black box" and "kodi"?
I am way out of touch with this crap.
Right, I have a firestick, a desktop with broadband - what should I do to get the most out of all this - failing that what's my best bet if I was to replace my hardware? Keep it simple, Thanks.

I'm with you on this HC. All confusing to me
There are a load of useful tutorial videos on You Tube about how to install Kodi on a Fire Stick.
I'm not a tech wizz but I managed to install that and a build called 'The Beast' onto the Fire Stick in less than an hour.
SInce the start of the season I have not missed any games and if you have a bit of time before the games to find a decent link you can usually find a good HD one eventually.

I have no problems watching the football on my desktop as a good friend of mine installed a great link to NBC Sports and very good quality as well
The only reason I got a Fire Stick was because I din't want to put the football on the laptop as I tended to get a lot of ads and buffering on there. So far the Fire Stick has been great.
Is there like an online TV guide anywhere, so when you're set and have downloaded this Kodi thing onto a USB stick, you know what channel to go on or do you just search through them all until you find the United game?

I generally have a look at some forums before a game if I am not sure. But the more you use it the more you'll know about where to find the game.

Where sells sticks/boxes fully pre-loaded?
I usually just ask on the match thread what channel we are on and someone knows. Then search through the channel list. Some of the plugins on black box just have a list of all the games that day in ko order. You click on the game and there is 5 or 6 different links for it. Just choose the best.
I have also watched some movies through it. I watched the Martian and the image quality was excellent.
