Nah, Meireles was one of our top midfielders (imo) but we do have a lot in this area; expect to see coady,shelvey,spearing given more time.

And the guy is 28 neaarly 29 so hardly has youth on hos side.

Failed to play well or score for 6 months under Roy. Not even one assist.

Got an assist first game under Kenny and scored second game, then continued scoring for about 5 consecutive games.

well most liverpool fans i do recall. Thats the point im making, most liverpool fans were saying that henderson shouldn't be starting ahead of raul, i was never talking about what kenny thought. and explain how im making up facts? and my opinion that he is only a decent signing that will give squad depth thats all.

I think Meireles is a very good signing for you to replace Mikel or Ramires. He's better than both those two.

The sale of Meireles fits the FSG philosophy of selling on 'older' players with good re-sale value, as we have received more money than we paid for him and he's 28 going 29 I don't have a problem with this sale. He's been a good player for us but not so sure he's what chelsea need but time will tell. Good luck Raul...that doesn't extend to chelsea though.

he was a good signing and scored some high profile golas, but he went missing in most games and pulls out of most 50/50 tackles and the money is good for a 29 year old.

The transfer request is something the club force the player to make at the late stage so hes not entitled to a pay off imho
