I think Wassall should show our lads a video of Leicester playing , and point out how hard they work without the ball and how they fight to get it back , a lot of our lads are f in bone idle , as for Wassall being delighted with them yesterday he was the only one in the ground who was .

That is the problem with the sugar daddy approach to running a club. The club is at the mercy of the whim of the owner. As dictators go, Mel is not quite in the Cellino or even the Fawaz league but he does seem to be an apprentice Abramovitch. What is more there is absolutely nothing we can do about it.

Yep Spart, correct. It's my party and I'll do what I want.

A hero of Spart and Ramdini one said that a week in politics is a long time. Well I reckon a week following Derby County is longer.

The man who told me a few weeks ago about PC's Ugandan/Brazilian discussions has told me Brendan Rodgers is taking over as manager/chief coach next season. I would have thought if this is true he would want to take over straight away so he can sort out the wheat from the chaff on the player front. But if Rodgers does take the job I think it will be good news. He did a good job at Swansea and did well at Liverpool till they sold Suarez and bought 12 mediocre replacements.(Where have I heard that before?) My Liverpool pal told me that most of the replacements weren't Rodgers' choices. (same again!)

So I've made up my mind after thinking about it for a week and reading thousands of posts, Brendan Rodgers is the man to take us into paradise.

Amazing how many of the older fans think they've seen it all before but couldn't actually see anything at all during Your Nige's tenure.

The blessing of their age is not wisdom, it's forgetfulness.

I wasn't as old then, but I watched an improvement and didn't have too many great expectations.

Sorry, what was the question?

The pot calleth the kettle black. There is and never has been one so blind as 666 with regard to Nigel and Richard Keogh as examples. It is not just stumbling blindness due to age or scales over his eyes. It is shear, wilful, eyes tight shut, blindness for which there is no cure.

My point ramdini was that if we were contemplating hiring any other non league manager the Clough supporters would go crazy.
I was questioning your assertion that those people weren't blinded by the name.
Funny you mention Burley. He proved you can achieve results in style on a far tighter budget than NC had.

I would be pleased with Rodgers. I also heard that Sean Dyche has let it be known he would be interested in the job. If true it makes some sense in that he probably feels he can get Burnley up but achieve little more but might feel he can progress further with Derby. He would need to do something about the voice and gingerness but otherwise a great fit for us.

Dyche would soon turn us into "market leaders"

If Rowett becomes manager will he be NLG?

Chris, expectations are much higher than when Nigel was employed, so no I would like an experienced manager now.

George Burley was a very naughty boy, you can't have managers discussing African affaires with your own players. It leads to dressing room disharmony.

Was that a reliable source Vidal? Dyche, who I do like was on five live last Monday and sounded very unimpressed with the shenanigans at the ipro

Yes, the source is reliable as these things go. Doesn't mean Dyche is coming but I believe a tentative expression of potential availability has been made on the part of the ginger Dalek.

Not a clue. Think someone has thrown VC10 a red herring.

Mojac,

We're doomed!...............

Went to see the new Dad's Army film yesterday with wifey.

It's a bit of a laugh, we both enjoyed it, and it's very honest to the original TV series.

Anyone who says it's rubbish obviously has not seen us play since Boxing Day?
