Not really being paying that much attention to the top end of the table. Didn't realise Ipswich had dropped off so badly from the top six. Used to be a good footballing game in years gone by. Robson v Clough in the early 80's when both were battling at the top end of the top division.
Only been to Portman Rd once. Old fashioned away stand like Leeds. Bit of squash underneath the away section. Nice town, though. Lost 6-0 when all the Forest players had the trots. Megson days, I think.
No expecting as much of a footballing spectacular this time round. Ipswich will look to get the ball into the Forest box as much as possible and hope Murphy can make it happen for them. Forest need to get Mendes and/or Burke in and hope they can provide the pace and incision that was badly missing once Ward was injured last week.
I too can't really see passed the draw but think it could be goalless as two out of form teams will be more concerned with not losing IMO.
Britt trained with the first team today, for the first time since his injury, although it wasn't a very strenuous session. It'd be great to see him back before the end of the season.
I wonder if Forest find themselves in this financial predicament next season, and if Britt seems to make a decent comeback, with no obvious signs of injury, then whether he'll be off on the January Window next year too just like Antonio
Absolutely no pint in selling, unless for silly money. We should keep Paterson as well
No pint! And, on a Friday afternoon as well!
*point
of course there's no point...
..but then we all know there's the Forest way of doing things
Vaughan has apparently broken his hand while playing with his kids. Hope it doesn't keep him out of the team.
I'm hoping for significant changes tomorrow:
Hobbs, Mendes, and O'Grady would all start if I was picking the team. Olly will probably start on the bench, but I hope he gets at least twenty minutes. I'd also have Grant and McDonagh in the eighteen.
Whatever team starts it's going to be backs to the wall, defending deep. Hopefully there will be a good response to losing the last three but I really think we need to freshen the team up. It has looked 'leggy' the last few games.
Olly won't be on the bench by the sounds of things....
Nottingham Forest winger Oliver Burke will be sidelined for three weeks after having surgery on his broken hand.
The Reds had initially expected the teenager to miss just one game – last weekend's 2-1 defeat to Bristol City – as it was thought he would not need to go under the knife.
He was expected to have a cast fitted in time to make the trip to Ipswich Town tomorrow, but instead it was decided surgery was required earlier this week.
Burke's Forest team-mate, and fellow midfielder, David Vaughan has also suffered a broken hand, picked up while playing football with his children.
Vaughan however, has had a cast fitted and will be available for the trip to Portman Road.
Burke was missing from the matchday squad at Burnley last month after suffering the break in training.
The news he will be out of action for some time comes as a blow to Reds boss Dougie Freedman, who has had to contend with a considerable injury list this season.
Henri Lansbury (ankle) and Britt Assombalonga (knee) are expected to return to full training later this month. Daniel Pinillos (knee), Andy Reid (groin) and Matty Fryatt (Achilles) will miss the rest of the season.
And Jamie Ward was forced off early on in Saturday's match with a hamstring problem.
This is getting ridiculous!!!
Andy Reid (groin) and Matty Fryatt (Achilles) will miss the rest of the season.
-----------------------
Two hand breaks in a short period of time!!!!!!!!!!!!!
OK Jack Hobbs in the back four, Mancienne in front of back four. In front of them. Mendes Osborn Vaughan Cohen. Lone striker O'Grady
Bench: Evtimov Grant Oliveira Blackstock McDonagh ?? ??
You got us going to battle for a 0-0 then. Probably sensible!
Lacking a bit of competitiveness on crosses last week v Brizzle so Hobbs would be a good option in there.
Mendes is the only real option to make a change in midfield, unless Geant gets a run out. I would take a point now if I am honest. All about getting to 55 points or so now for me. Didn't like the attitude of the team last week and just want to get the season over and done with without any dramas now.
DF has said the club has made a contract offer to one of the senior players at the club. Not announced which one yet but it's either Wilson, Reid or Tesche apparently.
but it's either Wilson, Reid or Tesche apparently.

I'd get rid of all 3
It's not easy to make a case for any of them, I agree. Reid is the only one with genuine quality of the three but may never play agaIn.
fryatt and reid cost us a fortune this season let them go plus wilson keep tesche
May be keep Tesche if we can agree sub £10k/week - and preferably substantially so. Personally, I think he offers us very little
