The main problem they have with FIFA is that they've tried to make it much easier to attack the ball than to play it around but have also made defending too easy so only certain moves with certain teams will work.

Im saying if its down to your bad control then Bramble wil nick it off you but if your dribbling properly and Bramble stil ends up nabbing it off you. Whats the point?

I like it...it adds to the unpredictability of the game. Imagine if everything went your way....u'll get bored quick.

Yeah. Agree on that. Ive tried playing Fifa but never liked it because of what Ive mentioned above. The penalties are a joke on Fifa by the way.

I could play Pro Evolution hours. When you selected the random form arrows and your team's best players were on blue and your opponent's were mostly on red

Pro Evo 2008 was probably the best.

Not play Pro Evo since 2008. I loved the way they worked set pieces but the dribbling and overall play didn't feel realistic at all. The animation and commentary is rubbish as well.

People used to point and laugh at you if you had a copy of Fifa in your house. It was THAT far behind Pro Evo.

Pro Evo 5 was the best one in my view. They got everything right on that game.

have to agree with the above. PES05 was the best at gameplay.

I think FIFA07 was the equivalent to that

They were all good. Then they start getting complacent from 2009 onwards and lost it.

PES 5 was the !st time online was available, it was beautiful!!!

Did anyone else here have International Superstar Soccer (ISS) Pro for Playstation 1, Konami's first real attempt at the English-speaking market?

I could play that all day long, and did on many occasions. One feature that Pro Evo did bring to the table was the ability to attach a name for the commentator to say when a created player was on the ball.

I also really used to like playing This Is Football (TIF 2 mainly), Actua Soccer and UEFA Striker.

Adidas Power Soccer was pretty cool as well.

Can anybody remember Three Lions?

There was a game called "Red Card"

Il let you work out what the aim of the game was ...

anyone remember fifa98
imagine if gaming stayed that way

Yeah, I had that as well.

I'm not sure getting sent off was the only intention, but you could drop-kick, slide-tackle and head-butt each player on the pitch - and the referee.

Then, if you played a "World Challenge" mode, you played countries from different continents and unlocked special teams to play against.

One team was a made up of 11 dolphins - bizarre to say the least!

Red Card was a fantastic game. The only game where you're more likely to be sent off for a legitimate tackle than a two footed lunge.

I played pes 2012 demo and I didn't like it all, simply awful in my opinion.

By FIFA 98, are you referring to "Road To World Cup 98" or "World Cup 98"?

There was never actually a game called FIFA 98

I loved the 6-a-side indoor matches you could play!

And on that note I have also just remembered "Puma Street Soccer" - much better (obviously not graphically) than FIFA Street!
