The reason we didnt play in the SPL in 12/13 was down to a choice

It was not a neccessity.

Nor was it neccessary for Rangers to help generate money for a league they were no longer a part of through a TV deal....but it happened

1. It was the right choice as you had no right to skip 3 leagues.

2. I hardly think Rangers took the TV deal to benefit other clubs - they did it for themselves.
