They are known to get top 4 though.

Leicester, Norwich and West Ham games are making me nervous.

I think we'll be fine against Leicester. But the other two will be very tough. Especially if West Ham are in the top 4 race when we play them.

Arsenal will get top four, they will beat WBA, Norwich and Villa, may get a point at Sunderland, if not all three, and lose at City. So 10 points minimum, 12 points maximum, easily enough for top four as it stands.

Don't think we will get top 4 now. And anyway will it really matter that much if we don't it's not like we are going to be going very far in it next season if we do get it. From a money point of view it's not ideal but imo another season of rebuilding and ironing out the problem areas is needed before we start thinking of champs league.

Do I recall correctly that in advance of the Spurs game you (quite rightly) took issue with someone who was saying they felt confident because we have a great record against Spurs? Historic records don't win us games. Doesn't the same logic apply here? "Wenger has kept finishing third and fourth over many years so Arsenal are nailed on to make the top 4" - isn't this relying on the same logical fallacy as "we always beat Spurs"? This season in particular (Leicester, Chelsea, Spurs) has illustrated the shakiness of assumptions about the natural order of the Premier league.

I don't think anyone here believes we're strong favourites to make it into the CL places. Just a lot of us are investing more into hope of an unlikely positive end to the season than into emphasising why our negative predictions were valid all along.

If united are in the race for top 4 are we?

I mean we're only 2 points off you when we win our game in hand, we've better momentum, play better football, have better strikers etc.

Indeed but mine was a rather flippant response to another historical sweeping statement that 'they don't handle pressure well'

We may get top 4 but the smart money is on Arsenal getting the 9 points from 3 home games needed to secure top 4 which can only be trumped by us winning all 4 remaining games.

If Arsenal drop points tonight then it's more likely.

Arsenal won't lose tonight and we will drop points against either Leicester or West Ham.

Top 4 is gone sadly.

'When we win our game in hand' ha quite confident aren't you.

Anyway Kneerash you could get champs league through winning the Europa so stop being greedy.

Home to Newcastle?

Fairly confident, Newcastle's away record is dreadful

I want it ALL

Nah I don't think we will get top 4 unless we win our last 5 games, I'm far more concerned about the Europa, united have a decent chance of top 4 if Arsenal do drop points tonight, be hilarious if Arsenal finished 5th.

*And others drop points of course

posted on 21/4/16

There's title pressure and then there's top 4 pressure. Arsenal are good with top 4 pressure. Thought last 10 years would teach people this

posted on 21/4/16

Arsenal will only win one game and that's the last game against Villa. Draw or defeat for others.

posted on 21/4/16

All well and good hoping City/Arsenal drop points but can anyone really see us winning our own games?

For me, if we win all our remaining games, I'd be suprised if we don't make the top 4 especially since Arsenal and City have to play each other

However, I cannot see us winning all our games
