psychology and confidence are half the battle

ROI obviously, we beat Germany 1-0, Shane Long scored, best fans on the planet and we're basically Leicester in how we play, this all points to an ROI win v England in the final, 800 years forgotten with a Shane Long winner

It was a joke, based on someone saying Croatia have always been dark horses (or something).

I reckon England is in with a sniff. If we defend with discipline and hit teams fast on the counter-attack and if we get more than our fair share of luck (which every winner of a knock-out tournament needs) we have a chance. We're not favourites but better than Danish and Greek teams than won the Euros.

Decent enough draw as well... group winner gets a third placed qualifier, as opposed to Portugal for eg who if they win their group could face Italy/Belgium/Sweden
