No we didn't. It's not even comparable to be honest, the difference in contribution of cost and the ongoing agreement.
I'd take 25m for Smalling.
Then take John Terry on a free.
25m and an upgrade.
if there were loads of top CB's about id take 20-25m for Smalling tbh, but seeing as theyre as sparse as the hairs on Pep's head i'd rather we kept the gangly oaf

bigger stadiums mean better sponsors and more advertising as well.
I half of you are overstating the importance and half understating it.
It's no guarantee or silver bullet but it is quite a big deal
