I'm going for promotion / but selling up

I don't think anyone buys a season ticket based on the fact (or fiction) that they would get their money back if a top 6 place was not achieved. The fans don't want to hold the club to ransom?
They just want it to be run properly….?

If he sells, there will likely be a hold back of the potential refund amount, I expect.

Does anyone know whether the refund is included in the Ts & Cs when you buy a season ticket? Or is it a load of PR spin from our publicity seeking owner?

LFU wanted to buy Leeds 😆

What with? No wonder Cellino told them to do one.

"LFU wanted to buy Leeds"

What with chocolate buttons!

We know that Cellino agreed to sell the club to LFU and changed his mind 4 days later.

We don't know what funds LFU had access to in order to complete the deal.

We know that Cellino has repeatedly lied about his willingness to sell the club.

We also know that he has repeatedly lied about buying Elland Road.

I assume that the comments about LFU by the usual Cellino apologists are intended to divert attention from yet another unconvincing "poor me" media campaign by Cellino.

£500k?

Lfu could have bought it

They called sellinos bluff and he bottled it as usual

Why some dont want fan ownership is beyond me

The lfu model would mean tier 1 the fans and tier 2 big money local business people . more from finnce could be secured from a well vetted and controllable investor. Other clubs already do this

Still we from Leeds we were born and bred on a mill town attitude

The owners know best - not us plebs

Whilst I would love some fan representation on the board I'm pretty sure LFU would have struggled to run the club due to funds available.

Cellino has admitted (and the books prove he's not lying) that the club is losing about £10m a season. How could LFU fund that AND grow the club?

We need someone with enough dosh to be able to ride that out until we reach the Prem. We also need someone who, whilst wealthy, is also willing to let someone else run the club - someone who knows the club and can surround himself with a good team and decent manager who can get the best out of the players.

We also need to get the academy back to its best. We will need youngsters for the future and cannot rely on spending big to get out of this league - Fair Play rules make that difficult.

So - a rich owner with some business sense.

- a CEO who knows the club and can recruit his own team.

- a manager who is allowed to manage.

- a decent set up at TA with someone like Redders to run it.

- a decent scouting system.

It won't happen over night but at least if we get a plan in place the fans will be able to relate to the club's owner(s) once again.

Imagine a season with no court cases 😱

To start:
1) stop hiring and firing head coaches, so the club is not paying the wages of multiple people for the same role simultaneously,
2) stop breaching contracts,
3) do not have an owner and directors that are charged for their actions by the FA/FL,
4) stop paying huge legal fees, primarily related to the above,
5) stop paying consulting and director fees for individuals who do not add value to the club,
6) engage with fans to determine what it will take to get us to support the club even more - season tickets, game tickets, merchandise, food and drink.

Quite simple really.

Not sure that would be enough to stem losses and mount a promotion challenge but I'd take it in a jiffy over what we have now.

As I wrote, Stoopo, "to start."

Add in Elland Road purchase and you save another £1.2m.

All of that might get one close.
