let's just hope Hoolie don't get wind of this amazing algorithm

These things have an air of ridiculousness about them as player can be worth what:
1. The buyer is willing to pay
2. The seller can hold out for

If both figures are high, the price is likely to be so.

Back to the article......

Kane is a centre forward, a position in which prices are at a premium.

He is very young too, so has career longevity, and sell on value.

Far from having 1-1.5 good seasons as the OP suggests, he has has two outstanding seasons, hitting over 20 league goals in both. Something Michael Owen never did for example, hit 20

Ledley, WTF has Michael Owen got to do with the price of potatoes? Nobody mentioned Michael Owen, he isn't relevant to the discussion.

Rule of thumb for me is would I want him at my club for the money it would take to get him?

Kane Yes
Pogba? Not really sure
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Now try that again but substitute Pogba for any of the other players mentioned in the OP and not just the title

So Kane after a 6 month purple patch is now more valuable than Pongba. Who makes this stuff up

Courtois the most valuable GK?

City put 6 past him last season.

Whoever came up with Kane's valuation, should have their credibility questioned

You said he has had 1 or 1.5 good seasons.

He has hit more than 20 league goals in his last two, something Owen never did.

Are you saying Owen never had a good season?

Robbie Fowler only got over 20 twice too

Overrated, 2 good seasons

Premier league was harder back in the Fowler days. Ffs Jamie Vardy banged 20+ in. What does that say..

That defenders are crap

Using your logic

Titus Bramble > Lesley King

posted on 6/6/16

Has Titus Bramble scored 20 league goals in a season?

posted on 6/6/16

It is not Kane's fault he is far superior to any of the strikers at Liverpool and Chelsea, and will probably get better.

He doesnt make the valuations up, he just scores lots of goals and impresses fans, coaches and pundits alike.

Great

You you really think Kane is more valuable than Pobga ?
I know Daniel Levy can be a tough negotiator, but still Pobga would attract a bigger fee than Kane

You were basing Bramble v King on my criteria.

My criteria was the amount of goals centre forwards score, 20 being a very good season.

I can only assume Bramble was a prolific goalscorer

It's in black and white really.

First you said Vardy > Drogba
Using your criteria, your statement would be true if you said Drogba (257 goals In his carer) > Vardy (110 goals) Also, if you compare them In PL , Drobga 104 goals vs Vardy's 29 goals

Tell me how does your statement make sense, if we use your criteria.

My reply Titus > Lesley was to expose your logic.

I said earlier whoever value Kane more than Pobga, should have their credibility questioned. Didn't say Kane made up his own valuation.

When you said "He doesen't make up valuation" Who do you think makes up these valuations ?

So what's there to learn from reading your bollox ?

Vardy>Drogba is clearly just tongue in cheek, to go with the guff the likes of the comments above spouted - not even acknowledging 2 fantastic seasons, and 49 league goals in 83 league games. Drogba is a class, and Vardy has had one excellent top flight season at 29.

To be fair, all the valuations are OTT.

Ask yourself this....if offered Kane or Pogba tomorrow, are you 100% certain you would pick Pogba?

I think you would be in the minority myself. If that means he is worth more, than yes he is.

If his age means he is worth more than older strikers that makes sense too. Not many that young are hitting 20+ in a top league
