sᴉɥƃuǝlפ lets see if you can manipulate this into a narrow minded view point.

"Last October, Mohammed, his wife Afaf and sister Zahra decided to take Ahmad to Lebanon and on to Turkey. He borrowed money to pay the smugglers, but all the currency in the world wouldn’t have got them onto a safe crossing to Greece. Like so many others, their flimsy boat failed them midway across the Aegean Sea."

The article goes on....

"In Greece, Ahmad and his family followed the Western Balkans route, skirting Hungary into Slovenia and on to Austria. In early November, they were met by policemen while crossing the German border on foot and put on a bus to a shelter in Potsdam, a city south-west of Berlin."

The UN disagrees with RDD.

So the terminology isn't the same. UNHCR is a world wide organisation.

RDD is wide organ

Similar wording, but definitely not the same.

Yeah, that was an interesting story. The dad says his motive for leaving was his sons football career and hoping to be spotted by one of the big clubs.

Sound terrified don't they.

Kung fu getting owned. Hahaha. Thank you for taking in the fight against the relentless plank.

Red - if the wording you are referring to is the definition of a refugee, they are identical.

I don't care about your opinion, like I said if you want to insult them by accusing them of endangering their child's life so he can play footy, thats on you.

The clearly fled war and chose the second best place (compared to the home they lived in) to live.

They are refugees in the eyes of the law and thats all that matters.

If its your opinion that they aren't then please stop talking to me because I don't care about what you think they are.

ah ok... yes I got owned by proving that people crossing safe countries to get to another are refugees.

I thought you were leaving?

My examples are of people fleeing war.

Do you even know what we are debating?

I'm just basking in the fact you have been proven wrong mate.

And I'm not insulting anybody. Putting aside your ultra sensitive defensive stance when it come to islam / muslims and read what the dad says about why he chose to leave Syria and what he hopes happens.

Nothing to do with their safety. It's about the son getting quality football coaching and eventually, a move to a bid club.

Like I said I don't care what you think.

These people fled a war torn country. FACT

They crossed through multiple safe countries to arrive into Germany. FACT.

They were given OFFICIAL refugee status. FACT

Regardless of anyway you want to spin the article, this contradicts everything you have claimed.

Germany has invited refugees to apply for asylum. That is the difference.

The UN has called the ones travelling through Italy MIGRANTS because that is what you become when you MIGRATE from an already safe haven.

Austria and France have both closed their borders with Italy to stop the influx of MIGRANTS.

Why would that be I wonder?

Could it be that once they are safe in Italy, they are no longer fleeing from persecution or whatever they were fleeing.

Nice spin.

They crossed through multiple safe countries and were given refugee status.

RDD said you can't do that and get refugee status.

It's as simple as that really.

Because Germany was willing to accept them as refugees as I said a couple of pages back.

The article you linked to still calls the inhabitants of 'the Jungle' MIGRANTS even if it doesn't say so in the title.

The article I linked to has the UN calling the Africans entering Italy MIGRANTS before they have even arrived in Italy so what does that mean?

posted on 23/6/16

Oh and Ibrahim is still a refugee as the other article suggests in the title. I don't care what you THINK about headings and how they are used in articles. That's just speculation.

The fact remains Ibrahim crossed through multiple safe countries and is referred to as a refugee in the article.

I didn't say that so don't call it spin.

I said that once a 'refugee' reaches a safe haven then they become a migrant if they then cross a border into another country UNLESS the destination country accepts them as a refugee.

That is what I said isn't it?

This is what YOU posted and I replied. The article also DOES NOT say that Ibrihim is a refugee

Do your have any idea what's happening in Dafur? Why was he in prison? He is referred to as a refugee. That implies he was in there because of war.

He was fleeing war! What else can refugee mean?

Lmao how can Germany invite people to travel through sovereign nations?

All Germany did was tell the refugees we are taking in more compared to others.

Remember RDD the way they treated that family contradicts everything you have claimed so far.

Keep on digging that hole.

And how were Germany expecting the Syrians to travel in Germany without travelling through other EU nations ??

Yes it does.

"Refugees talk about their flight from Sudan, their hazardous way to Europe and Calais, and their plans and hopes for the future."

Ibrahim is the chap from Sudan.
