Yup, Farage with his extensive trade deal experience.

I enoyed the latest photo of Trump and Farage.

I've finally realised that eventually you just have to sit back, laugh at the stupidity of your fellow man and watch the world burn.

Trump is not the first massive caant the Yanks have elected, and he wont be the last.

They basically had a shaved monkey in charge between 2000 and 2008

Fifty million voters, who had been democrats in many cases, rejected the status quo, global capitalism, mass immigrstion and twelve million illegals.

I do not like Trump, and his voters held their noses, but from Russia, through Hungary, Germany, Austria, france, Uk and now Usa the underclass, working class, and blue collar demonized are waking up.

As opposed to poor wee warmonger, Hilary Clnton?

Both suck, but the people have spoken.

The difference between Hillary and Donald in the eyes of the poorer folk?

Donald was very rich BEFORE going in to politics

Hillary is very rich FROM going in to politics

posted on 13/11/16

Yea, let us stick it to the man and put a Clinton in charge, ffs.

Good news, Trump to kick out illegals, criminals, gang members and drug dealers.

Bye then

Part of me agrees with this.

Clinton was a truly horrendous choice and I think the entire American public have the right to be furious with the way her party wriggled out of having a credible candidate in Sanders running the race instead.

All that said, what Donald Trump said during his campaign goes beyond being a poor candidate, the blatant racism and even worse than that, the fueling of climate change denial should have seen him chucked out of his party.

It's truly a sad state of affairs that these two ended up being the "only options".

But now with Trump elected the entire world needs to reject any of his policies that could lead to further man made acceleration of climate change - that effects the entire planet and is simply not acceptable.

I can see trump trying his best to get out of the climate change deal.

Can't see him building that wall/fence or banning muslims though

How can the world reject his policies?

The only people who can reject his policies are his own Congress and Senate.

I asked this question the other day but not sure if on this thread...

The wall.

Is there not a fence in place already? Inoring rhetoric associated with it, is there anything morally wrong about improving an existing barrier?

Obama gave Mexico money to improve their own Southern border after all.

If this proposal was to erect a barrier that does not currently exist, then I could see the outrage. But isnt this simply improving one that exists?

I do not think Trump will do half the controversial things he said he would.

His opponents will probably delight in this, but it is a good thing.

I predict it will be a pretty boring 4yrs on the whole

Honestly the USA should be boycotted if it were to turn its back on firstly the Paris Agreement and then any further agreements to combat climate change.

Firstly other nations would need to approach with diplomacy of course but after that, trade embargoes would be the next logical step.

I would go as far to say that it would be one of the only legitimate reasons to start a war. It's do something about the human impact on climate change right now or condem the entire future of the planet.

Re climate change.

I am no denier, but I think it is arrogant to think we know all there is to know about the effects of man on the climate. The Earth has been much hotter and much colder in its history after all.

I mean if you said the Sun was at the centre of the solar system you would have been told you were stupid by accepted Science at one point.

In 50yrs time we may well realise what we currently 'know' is wrong, and other factors are the main drivers.

Nothing wrong with a war now and again. Keep everyone on their toes.

posted on 14/11/16

I'm not saying start a war. Just that this is the most serious issue of our time and it would be THAT bad if the USA turn their back on combatting it.

While I'm somewhat in agreement with this, I think the main reason that Trump won was due to how poor the opposition was. It would have been interesting to see if he would have had the same success against Sanders or any other Democrat candidate.

And the main problem with building a wall is, yes there is a fence already in place in pretty much every stretch of the border, but the wall is an expensive yet pointless pursuit when there aren't enough people to constantly monitor the border and there are plenty of tunnels under the current border.

Have you ever woken up within a dream/nightmare, only to realise after a while that you're still dreaming and it's just gotten worse?
