Andy Murray, along with Nadal, Djokovic, and Federer would beat the previous generations of tennis champions as they're on another level with regards to fitness, diet, power, skill and preparation.
Spot on Juke. Becker McEnroe, Connors etc wouldn't have a prayer of beating Murray in a five setter
I think I love Andy Murray
Utter hero.
All these warmers taking it for granted as well.
We won't get it this good again
I don't think Federer would have won as many titles as he has if he had faced a real challenge for many of the years he was on top. Once Nadal then Djokovic broke through he wasn't winning as much.
His early titles he was up against some fading stars.
A great player I have no doubt but I rate Djokovic above him. Djokovic has done it with Nadal, Federer and Murray chasing all the same titles.
Guy is a legend and people probably won't realise how good we had it until we are back to hoping the likes of henman, jeremy Edwards or the Canadian guy make it as far as the semi final
I does depress me however that a guy who went to the same school as me made 2 million in under 3 hours.
It's crazy he has achieved what he has given where he has come from
Aye Djokovic is top of the pile for me.. The mental resilience he shows is frightening.
Dominating in the toughest era of tennis is remarkable. He's a machine.
To think it was only a few years ago he was being written off as he kept losing to Nadal and Federer.
Just a shame for us that he has that mental edge over Murray, but the gap is closing.
Sampras is still the greatest for me
even at height of Federer's dominance, you always felt he could lose
Sampras, he was unstoppable, I was genuinely stunned when Federer knocked him out of Wimbledon in 2001
apart from his blip against Kraciek (sp) in 96 Sampras no one came near him
Sampras didn't have much in the way of competition though.
Much like Federer he had it fairly easy.
you could make an arguemtnfor anyone, could say that Djokvic is only dominating because nadal is injury prone and Federer is coming to end of his career
Sampras blew everyone away, Agassi , Rafter, Ivanisevic, Becker
Yeah djokovic stands tall for domination against 3 other guys capable of his level. Given he had so much adversity to overcome in his youth coming from Serbia
That said it's all null and void as he is clearly a roid freak and is now struggling due to his favorite substances being made illegal..... Allegedly
Yea he's really struggling this year

All of those players you mention were at the tail end of their careers.
Djokovic beat Federer and Nadal when they were still in their prime. The rest of the top 20 are of a higher standard than they were in previous eras too.

JUst pure conjecture given djokovic was very sympathetic around the circumstances and substance sharapova was caught with.
Murray however was the opposite but came out with a very loaded statement saying he had seen people after 5 set finals recover far more quickly than naturally possible.
Thats enough for me, Guilty! Allegedly
Nadal in 2010 played the best tennis of my lifetime
Federer is the most naturally gifted ever
DFjok has beaten them yes, but he is dominating them now, why?
nadal - injury prone
Federer - end of career
all objective opinions though, for me it's sampras
apparently Andy Murrays career winnings are just shy of 50 million. I would guess he earns as much if not more from sponsorship like Underarmour and Adidas previously.
Sickening!
Another point about Murray has any other player won all but one of their teams points in the entire davis cup campaign while winning it?
Thats rather an Insane stat.
