Arsenal not attractive

Not trying to have a dog genuinely.

Apart from a couple of FA Cups recently what would really attract top players to Arsenal?

CL? Well, Yea but there will be 31 other clubs able to offer it.

Wenger? I'm not so sure anymore.

London? Probably the biggest reason. That's why Alexis rejected Liverpool or you.

Money? I'm not sure what Arsenal can offer what most PL clubs can't.

Of course it is for him. He's a fan favourite who is a garunteed starter at Leicester. Arsenal he would most likely be a sub

Pretty poor wum attempt for every Vardy there is a Lacazette or Icardi who wants to come to Arsenal. To be honest Arsenal aren't the first club to be used to get a better contract. How many times has Sergio Ramos taken on United?

Are Arsenal becoming the sort of club only 'good' players go to?

Not sure what you mean by this. We've signed more established top class players in the last 4 years then we ever have under Wenger before that

Jamie Vardy is only "good". He is in no way a special player. I was very much against his signing. That's not to say being rejected by Jamie facking Vardy wasn't annoying though.

Özil is the definition of a special player, much more so than Sanchez.

I'd say Wenger is just too tight with the budgets.

Ozil and Sanchez went there, I'm sure others would too.

Of course it was easy for him. He thrived in a team who don't play a possession-based game and prefer to hood the ball over the top. Arsenal are the exact opposite.

He knows his limitations and stayed with what fit his game best.

So easy it took almost a month for him to decide. He probably was told he would be behind Giroud in the pecking order and woutbe played out wide.

Arsenal is a very good destination for good players who want a comfy life at a big club. Not much pressure, 80k+ wages, luxurious lifestyle in London, glamorous location.

I see the reason Ozil and Sanchez are there however the mentality won't win you league titles

The guy should sack his PR team, if he has one (probably his wife on Twitter!?)🤔
He should have waited until the end of this season before saying things like this. Everyone is wondering how Leicester will do this season. If they do well then, that's fine and he can make fun of Arsenal.
However, if they do badly then he will be the one seeing as the biggest idiot in the league and people will make fun of him.

His decision was based on him wanting to stay at Leicester. Don't fall for headlines created to antagonise dimwitted fans

Ozil and Sanchez are rumoured to want to leave. We need to spend money on a big name striker to keep them and the fans happy and have any genuine chance of actually wining the league and going further in the CL.

I can see Arsenal signing players with the potential to sell on later... Lacazette, Icardi etc.

I can't see them buying established players that will do the job NOW. I did believe had Madrid bought Aubameyang/Lewandowski then Benzema could be off to Arsenal but the more I read between the lines I don't think this transfer would ever happen.

Apart from Real, Barca & United, you could say similar about any team.

Arsenal's last confirmed wage bill was the same as City's. United & Chelsea only slightly more. Walcott gets 140K pw, it's a myth that Arsenal don't pay their players well and they could easily do 200-250K on select special players (Ozil has been on 190K since 2013).

Location is a big factor. Sanchez turned down Juve as well as Liverpool. PSG offered Ozil more money but he came to us anyway.

Arsenal could sign lots of top players if the circumstances were right.

No they are the club that only average to mediocre players go to!

What an arrogant and condescending statement. Maybe Vardy didn't want to upset Wenger, and his overpaid second place team, by showing them what a PL championship winners medal looks like.

Why would Wenger need to know what a premier league medal looks like?

It might just give him the ability to explain to his players what it is!

Sir Digby, please pull your lower lip over your forehead and sneeze loudly.
Thank you and good-bye!

I'm pretty sure this globaled guy is a Liverpool fan. Can't believe he has the cheek to say Arsenal are the sort of club mediocre players go too. I think you're confused with Liverpool. Milner, Henderson, Lalana, Origi to name a few current players and in the past Downing and Carroll, enough said!

posted on 31/7/16

Why would he move though? Offered the same wage at Leicester and his a hero... You may say Arsenal are a massive club etc, but what does that actually mean to a player? Being watched by an extra 30k people when at home or what?
