I like Lukaku but there is no way Wenger is spending the ludicrous amount that Everton want for him

posted on 10/8/16

When I see transfers like Stones for 50m or Pogba 110m, the price that Everton want for Lukaku is not ludicrous.

It is for Arsenal though... We bid £30Mil for Lacazette ffs whereas u have the likes of Everton, Palace, West Ham bidding that kinda money for players like Bolasi, Benteke ect.

Everton want Higuaín money for him. No way will Wenger sanction that.

Pogba was £89m not £110m

Interesting even City are not linked with PAE anymore...may be PAE is not leaving Dortmund for sure, unless something happens on deadline day.

It's more likely that initial links were just made up and that journos know nothing about most clubs transfer business.

With the reported agents fee 110 million, with his wages more like 200 million

posted on 10/8/16

Juve paid the agents fee.

Bullsheet yeah for the first time when selling a player for a record fee the selling club pays the fee.

Juve only got €73m up front.

Yeah but the rest in an instalment

posted on 10/8/16

Anyway, said this twice already over the past couple of days but who gives a s*it about the fee? We can afford it so why does it matter to you? Why does it bother you?

Man U fans seem to have changed the tone from bitching about City and Chelsea to ‘Who care?’

I know, funny how it doesn't matter now but it really mattered a season or two ago.

The quickest 180 degree turn in history.

===================================

Here we go. This is how it all starts, isn't it?

Take something that SOME United fans have said and apply it to all, calling those that didn't even say it a hypocrite.

Childish.

I, for one, was critical of City and Chelsea's approach, and I am embarrassed by United's recent transfer policy of throwing money at it.

So, wind your neck in.

PS

I have to agree that Lukaku is probably a good bet for Arsenal as things stand.

Young enough to hold value and they really do need to begin investing, I think.

Lukaku is not very consistent, for that price we could get better. We won't though so feck it.

DiRtY Sanchez (U6360)

But who is available?

I think that's the biggest issue for you guys.

posted on 10/8/16

A lot of strikers would be available if you offer enough money. Even Bony wouldn't be a bad bet and cost far less. Hernandez was mentioned this morning too.
