Well, I was away on Tuesday night, ( grandson's 10th birthday party 20 miles away, these things are important ) and had nothing but the half-time 0-0 scoreline courtesy of my Villa-mad son-in-laws smartphone until we got home and discovered that our first point of the season was in in the bag thanks to our footballing-genius-in-residence Chris Wood ..
.. BUT .. I'm experiencing a strange optimism about our clash with The Wendies ..Jansson straight in and stamping some authority on proceedings? Dallas being a wee bit crafty? Touch of class from Hernandez at a crucial moment? 1-2 Leeds and we're chewing the tailfeathers of mid-table ..
... well, a girl can dream
Congrats on the op, 756, hope you are feeling quite feminine now!
With all this 'Lady luck' maybe we will turn over the Wendie houses.

Wednesday 1 - Leeds 3.
Wood hat-trick.
Give me:
Green
Ayling / Pontus / Bartley / Charlie
Bridcutt
Dallas / Pablo / Roofe
Ant / Wood
Good shout Batty, I may prefer Mowatt in place of Dallas though.
Wood may have scored a cracker against Fulham but his misses have been atrocious!
You play new lad after only a week in country in tough game where you know you going to be under pressure
Why do people have this obsession of playing newbies straight away
If the newbies are deemed better then yes as his fellow pros would understand. If he didn't have the hype then yes I'd agree
I think if Cooper is still out, then we have to play the new guy. I'd be inclined to put cooper at LB anyway as he's played there before and done very well.
Would normally agree perhaps LIW, but we need points and to that we need to quit the mistakes at the back right away.
I'm feeling optimistic about this game, maybe it's the 10 pints and 5 whiskey's from last night taking - 2-1 win
10 pints and 5 whiskeys? Bloody hell.
I always have the feeling in games against other Yorkshire clubs that it means more to the opposition than it does to us. We don't seem to get up for these games, but having said that it's up to the manager and coaching staff to get them up for it.
As though anyone should need to 'get up' to play for Leeds United.
Just having a fry up and a pint before the game today. Hoping the new boy adds some steal at the back and we can win the game!
Leeds 1-0 Wood

Agree to a certain point
But I think it's more to do with that our lack of pace get more shown up because the games are past and furious
----------------------Green
Ayling-----Bartley--Cooper---Taylor
-------------Bridcutt---Phillips
Dallad--------Hernandez--------Roofe
--------------------Wood
Bring Ant and Sacko on if we need something different
I never look forward to this game...
You mention pace quite a lot LIW and you are right to do so. We really do lack it.
Yorkie
That's what disappoints me about roofe
All the experts on here were saying what we need, he's rapid, a great signing
Turns out nobody ever seen him, and just basing opinion on that he scored a few goals for Oxford
Wakey do you think Roofe is a waste of money or do you think I'm time he will be a good player for us? I only ask cos you go to all of the games mate.
LIW, what's you're obsession with not starting better players when we bring them in, after you've been harping on about needing better players?
And the reason I would start him is two fold, we're sh * te in the middle of the back four, and Monk started Ayling straight away and he's been our best defender by a mile.

A lot of pro's and industry folk said it was a good signing. He is also being played as a wing as opposed to a striker.
3-0 home banker. I usually get the home bankers wrong but you'd be daft to bet against them today. Roofe scored 26 and set up 9 in a settled promotion winning side. Now he plays out of position in a team of randoms
Ayling and Pontus are diffrrent. Ayling knows the division, the culture and the language. Pontus is settling in to an entirely new country.
