contact from Aguero looked like a glancing blow at worst

I'm assuming that is an attempt at a joke?

Shaping up well. Aguero was ruled offside just before they scored so 3-0 at that point could have led to a battering.

Eh? How does aguero being caught offside lead to a battering?

He wasn't offside and would have scored.

Mna City and Pep are flavour of the month so no action over Aguero's elbow. What's "impressive" this season is that United, City and Chelsea all won games that last season they would have dropped points in. It could be an exciting season for the neutral!

I hope so considering the elbows United have got away with over the years and the fact that Aguero has only been booked 4 times in 5 years at City.

Odd for a fan of West Ham to take the moral high ground about a bit of rough and tumble!

Stones pos Aguero ban, and an inability to kill it off sooner are cause for some concern. But we're still a work in progress, chalking up points is the main aim for the time being. Some lovely football starting to be played too.

How am I taking a moral high ground? It was a straight red card. Doesn't matter if he plays for city or west ham it's just not on. What was your comment for?!

Would like to hear your explanation for 'odd for a west ham fans to take the moral high ground'

Did something happen to you personally?

If it was a straight red he'd have been off, there's no way Marinner could have nissed it.

Such an odd comment. Did you see where mariners eyes were then. If so I would like some picture evidence that he saw the elbow and refused to act

It's not the first time (for City) a referee has had an unimpeded view of an incident and then later claimed not to see it (Adebayor's 'stamp' on van Persie)

If Mariner didn't see it, he shouldn't be allowed to referee at any level. I base this purely on the grounds that he must be literally blind.

That said, the use of the elbow did look deliberate

If only Mariner had done something about the incidents he did see. Like the persistent and, for the most part, cynical offending by WHU's Left Back.

Gets booked for taking out de Bruyne. Commits a yellow card offence 10 minutes later on Stones and then gets spoken to about his conduct a few minutes later after taking out Sterling. Pretty sure the ref spoke to him again in the second half after late challenge.

If Mariner had done his job properly and sent him packing, WHU would have had to back off and the Aguero incident would never have happened.

When Marriner saw the tussle in real time he clearly ruled it as titfor tat
The FA have told him that's not the way they want the challenge viewed and they want Aguero banned,so he lied and said he didn't see it
