Depends what kind of situation is currently going on at United, it might need an interim manager to come in and stabilise the club till the end of the season before one of the top managers want to take over.

Similar to how Chelsea have used hiddink before.

Nah if Giggs was gonna get the job Van Gaal would have kept his job and Giggs would have taken over this summer.

I think Giggs is nailed on to replace Jose

Hope so.

On another note, bilic first manager to be sacked?

Wouldn't be surprised to see giggs approached about that position tbh. Gold and Sullivan are weird like that.

Why did Robb get banned?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Turns out he wasn't actually called Robb.

I don't know. Why can't people just use their real names on here?

I do, even if it was accidental initially. Doesn't bother me now that people know my real name. What can you do about it?

There ain't ever gonna be another Leicester
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Blackburn was close, but absolutely no one gave Leicester half a chance, and Blackburn had Shearer in his prime. I just don't think Koeman can do this in his first 1-2 seasons, but with the right transfer backing, Koeman might be able to surprise us all in a season or two, maybe, just maybe. He's a very good manager, miles ahead of Moyes and Martinez.

Koeman could even be a good shout to take over from Jose....

Koeman would be my top pick to replace Wenger right now - apart from Low.

posted on 17/9/16

Possibly, Term. My money's on Ancelotti.

I'm backing allegri.

Fancy Allegri for the Italy job or Real Madrid if he does leave Juve.

We shall see Darren.

Think zidane could be Madrid manager for a few years.

posted on 17/9/16

Yeah right.

posted on 17/9/16

You don't?

posted on 17/9/16

not any years leicester. that's just a one off but in fairness to them they were grossly under performing last year but they have so far looked like how koeman set up southampton and have done quite well.

posted on 17/9/16

No, if he's still in a job beyond the end of next season he'll have done ridiculously well.

Wouldn't even be surprised to see Mourinho replace him.

I think they'll have a tough time sacking one of there greatest players there.

The fans idolise him like Liverpool fans do to Gerrard.

posted on 17/9/16

Think you overestimate what Perez thinks of the fans.

posted on 17/9/16

True.

Even for him it could be hard though, depends when he next presidential election is up at Madrid I guess.

posted on 17/9/16

Depends if he's even got any opposition.

posted on 17/9/16

Very true.

A few former players, like Manolo Sanchís are actively opposed to Pérez, but can't stand against him in an election because the former somehow got the GA to pass a reform of the election rules at Madrid. Candidates now have to put down a guarantee of something like €80M or €90M of own funds just to be able to run.

Last time round, Pérez was reelected by default because he was the only candidate who ran.
