I don't think he is making excuses for Cahill, he does say they are too slow in their minds and feet to play with the ball with the feet, which is correct.

Kante is not a DM, Matic should be in that position. Why do Conte not see that? Kante should be given role in CM and Matic as DM.

I agree.

But Cahill so far this season has looked so uncomfortable on the ball. Conte has set the team out strangely to pass the ball, which only makes the situation worse.

Can we fit both Fabregas and Hazard into the first team at the moment?

Seems like right now we need at least 3 DMs in front of the defence, with two workhorse wingers.
