Anyway, aside from that admittedly contenscious philosophical point, I would say that the main problem with history, is that you only generally get to hear the winner's version of events. 90% of what we 'know' is probably complete horse@@@@.

I'm more of a recent history type of guy, like 100-150 years (WW1 and 2) and ancient history.
Been for a WW1 battlefield tour robben?
Went at school. Most of my interest in history is book-based
