Technically he wasnt. Hence why he's got a payout, although it was as close to a sacking as a "mutual agreement" can be

The 'by mutual consent' thing is a joke. He did something wrong, and should've been sacked. Simple as.

£3m a year BFS was going to earn in a year.

So he's been sacked/resigned/left by mutual consent.

So he's getting paid for another 18 weeks, I wonder how many on here would get 28 weeks pay if they were sacked? None would be my guess.

Pretty sure it's only a crime if you take the money and don't declare it (tax purposes) which he clearly wouldn't have done.

He's not a criminal. Just a greedy idiot. Deserves the sack. Doesn't deserve any pay off.

It's not a crime, but there probably is a good case for sacking him for gross misconduct. Which equals zero compo.
