It was a horribly run cmapaign from both side from the very start, barley a proper fact behind the reasons given to vote either way.
For me it's a direct reflection of the rise of far right politics across the West, people are told every day they're under constant threat of terror and Brexit reflects this.
The difference is the government and media were trying to manipulate people to stay, all the 'experts' and the bookies thought remain were guaranteed to win. Leave won against the odds and remain flopped.
BTW Brexit means brexit so get over it and stop being bitter
^^^^
both campaigns were dreadful.....that poster on the bus has a lot to answer for....thou why anyone would believe that money would suddenly be diverted elsewhere.....never mind all to the NHS.
poor campaigns choc full of scare mogering and people not bothering to try and unearth facts I'm afraid.
Get over it.
Or, actually do something about it.
So there was only manipluation coming from remain?
What about Farage's bus and the 300 million
Both sides should hang their heads in shame
But to show the UK is a democracy they have to leave, the people voted, Scotland and NI should both get referendums now to leave the UK as they both voted to remain.

I agree, even as a remainer, but that does not mean we suddenly have to stop questioning decisions being made. And that does not make us bitter
So bitter.
Just get over it.

Both sides lied but for me anyway remain was much worse, especially Cameron. People are blaming Corbyn but hearing him talk honestly about EU nearly made me vote remain, it was the government BS that turned me off it. Pretty much all the common sense arguments I heard came from leave.

True but in a democracy the people's vote should be the final decider, there shouldn't even be the possibility of a second referendum on Brexit.
It's time in invoke article 50 and get on with it, time to see who was right in the end.

looking from the outside in I thought leave were using nothing but scaremongering and blaming immigrants for all the UKs woes.
It's subjective though.

If it was as simple as leave made out (3 years complete removal from the EU ) article 50 would have been invoked a while ago

I agree I am not asking for a second referendum we should get on with it and leave. What I am saying is that if anyone from the remain side questions anything as a result of leaving such as freedom of movement to to free trade deals (many more) we are instantly branded as bitter and told to get over it. Can we not have a say on how we think we should leave. Hell even the PM is a remainer (reluctantly) but still is.
Remoaners still going I see
What should have happened before the referendum took place was a proper study into the implications of leaving (or staying), and an exit plan formulated.
Then people could read what their decision would really mean. They could have had a really informed opinion on things.
The big problem was that it wasn't the policy of a major party. It was MPs from across all parties that cobbled together for the exit campaign, so it wasn't something that was going to be set in stone and agreed on (but should have by the government, like I said). The Tories were quite split I think, so this was never going to happen pre-referendum.
"... we are instantly branded as bitter and told to get over it."
That's really only because you're talking to people who didn't understand the arguments before the vote, and still don't understand them now. And, wonderfully, they largely don't care.
