Time to own up!
There's a zombie apocalypse who's a fatty and who's a skinny on here.
Who's food?
I'm 5 foot 8 and just under 13 stone quick on my feet.
Zombie catches a fat lad before me!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm 5 foot 11, just under 11 stone, and run 40 miles a week not counting football.
Zombie probably thinks I'm his mate.
It'll be a combination of unsustainable population growth and climate change, and then the various associated effects that will feck the human race.
Anybody know why there were already so many displaced people in Syria leading up to (and helping propagate) the civil war, and why the refugee crisis is so severe? Year-on-year intensive droughts forcing entire communities to uproot, in turn contributing to various social problems and helping to foment unrest.
We already have a first war in large part triggered by issues around access to fresh water. This to me is the first really visible result of climate change, and there's plenty more where that came from.
For example, there are cities in Israel with worsening and very severe water shortages. I don't have to spell out what that might mean in the next few years. India and Pakistan are at loggerheads about access to fresh water from a shared source in one of their border regions.
It's coming people: buckle up.

Fat people would get hungry more quickly and more desperately leading them to take desperate and risky measures which in turn reduces the likelihood of survival.

The rustling as they open their packet of Mr Porky's and the crunching that comes with eating pork scratchings will attract zombies to the area as well.

I think the UK would do quite well in a lot of apocalyptic scenarios. We're actually in quite a safe location being on a small island off the coast of Europe. Not near to any major fault lines. Less likely to get hit by asteroids than other bigger countries. No supervolcanoes nearby. As we're an island we can have more control over what comes and goes. Being in a temperate climate we're not going to suffer extreme weather conditions as much as other countries.
I know the question refers more to what sorts of people but in terms of location, we're in a good spot.

In a more likely nuclear war/apocalypse the UK wouldn't last a week. Prime target saan.
