Lebron firmly in the top 2 of all time, IMO the GOAT. MJ as good as he was, it's his brand and business which furthers his reputation as a player
GOAT conversations do my nut.
Horses for courses. Very much messi v ronaldo. Lebron has more to his game than MJ ever did similar to messi, but Jordan was just a scoring machine who willed his teams to victory.
what does make me laugh is the 6 and 0 debate that people use, as if its not more impressive getting to 10 finals than for example, losing in first round loads of times but winning each time you got to a final
Jordan was an incredibly good defender too.
GOAT debates are just brainless. There's no one metric to determine best ever status; people will just lend more weight to whichever one casts their own favourite in the better light. Because that's what it all boils down to, favourites.
Ftr, Magic is my all-time favourite. I couldn't give a flying fack whether people put him 5th, 15th or 25th in their all-time great list. Ditto Maradona. Or Borg for that matter.
My all-time favourites largely hark back to a time when I was far more invested and got the most enjoyment from spectator sports - the 1980s and '90s.
It's also been a long enough timeframe to realise how pointless it is to compare across generations and eras. There's been a whole host of tangible and intangible changes, not just in the sports themselves but in social mores and values, that render such comparisons completely meaningless to me.
Bulls would’ve won title 4 and probably 5 without MJ. I don’t really care enough to do the GOAT comparisons - especially considering I’ve never seen MJ live.
LBJ is the most ridiculous basketball player I’ve ever seen though, the best on his team at everything and makes it seem so effortless.
We’ll only be able to put the debate to bed once we’ve seen Space Jam 2.
That’s a good point, MJ can play against humans and Martians
It was the gratest accolade of his career.

Yes, Liverpool are gonna win the league again. I’m done with football, all in on basketball now.
He’ll be gone soon, don’t worry.
As long as we win a Europa soon I’m happy.
Pool players are about a year away from going full Eddie Guerrero
Lakers for the repeat then?
Doesn’t look like anyone’s gonna stop them. From what I’ve read they’ve addressed their depth issues.

Unless kd is up to speed, can see them cruising the east or Atleast getting a comfortable seed, then, not unlike LBJ teams, turning it up in the playoffs. Wouldn’t see suprised to see nets start slow and improve each week.
I’m not sure on the nets. That team just screams underperformance
What if KD recovers well and they get Harden?
