This last month has been such a heavy schedule for all the players, Irish Open starts Monday and then UK following week.
Trump and Carter both pulled out of the NI Open. It's good to have so many tournaments but it's hard having so many ranking events that follow straight after one another. They've done well to say it's been in Coventry, NI then York. Not too much travelling but they've all just retired from China!
It's a shame Judd has pulled out but the past month has been so crazy. There has been like a day or 2 between tournaments! they need to look at changing that to at least a week.
True, but if they had a week off after every tournament they'd only play for Alf of the year. Probably less considering the Worlds and U.K. both span over two weeks.
Not so long ago the players would be moaning about not enough tournaments............now there's too many
Starts on Tuesday. Predictions for the winner?
Mark King wins Irish Open beating Barry Hawkins 9-8 to win his first ever ranking title, was a cracking final, fair play to him. I'm not sure how many people on here watched it. It was a very emotional interview.
Regarding the UK Championship I cannot pick a winner as this season already there have been a lot of different winners.
I was pleased for Mark King, after 25 years on the circuit and the inevitable ups and downs along the way, he clinched his first ever ranking tournament.
Tournaments come along like buses these days, and it is good to see some new faces picking up a winners cheque rather than the usual candidates.
The best of 7 matches make it much more of a lottery, hence there are plenty of upsets.
The crucible is the ultimate test over the longer format and the better players usually come out on top over longer matches. The World Champs should be left alone in its current format.
McLeod says not enough being done for black players.
I was also pleased for Mark King, it is nice when different players win sometimes especially when they have been in the game for a long time.
I miss the old format of the UK Championship when all the rounds were best of 17 until the final.
I think McLeod is going a bit over the top with his claim.

Read that article and didn't understand what he meant.
Snooker is not exactly the Freemasons,if you are good enough and sponsored or can afford it race is no obstacle. Don't like watching his matches much because he is desperately slow.

Evening fellas, it's been too long
Looking forward to another brilliant UK Championship.
Mark King wins a tournament on Sunday, forgets his cue today and is out!
Combination of the best moment of his career and one of the worst in a space of a few days
True. Looking forward the the televised matches starting on Saturday.

That is a shock. Think there's always scope for that in the first round playing with no one watching.
Robertson has been out of nick so far this season.
Full second round draw posted. 8 matches on Saturday 1pm and 7pm. Same on Sunday. Busy schedule!
Anyone seen Selby and Robbo having a go at snooker golf? Betway shared a video should be available on either youtube or facebook.
