By all accounts he has a poor attitude and its not just about the car. Maybe he's improved on it but last year when it came out that his teammates were annoyed about him it was worthy of criticism if true.

Im sorry but this is rediculous. If Rooney was truly bothered about getting back in the United team then he'd spend every waking hour at the training ground, or if injured in the gym doing what he can.

A small amount of alcohol can greatly effect a footballers performance, never mind getting off his face at 5am. He earns £300k per week and has not even come close to deserving it for 3 years now. The least he can do is actually put some effort in.

Can you imagine Ronaldo doing this? There's a reason why Ronaldo has just earnt a new 5 year deal and Rooney's second touch had been a tackle for 3 years.

I honestly feel sorry for Wayne. People have expected more than he's capable of for a long time. He's a good player and has flashes of brilliance and yeah he's earned a shed load. But no other English player has taken a battering from the press and fans like he has, consistently too for so long. Beckham is the only one I can think of after his red card.

Imagine not being able to enjoy your life. Over 30 and still being treated like someone else's property. A lot of people lag into him but I'd love to see how they'd handle being absolutely hounded when you're struggling for confidence.

This is utter nonsense from self-appointment moral custodians in certain sections of the media. So, in the context of super-rich footballers (who are still just as human as everyone else) the definition of ‘professionalism’ now includes adults not being able to do what they want in their own time.
