Mourinho doesn't owe anyone any explanations. He's the boss, he decides who plays and that's all there is to it.

Pretty much this.

He probably has a duty to reason with the individual player, but he doesn't have to explain to the fans about every decision he takes, just because someone has a poster of a particular player, has gone out and got his adult sized personalized replica shirt, and has seen that the player has a 90+ rating across the board on the latest FIFA game.

It will be sad when he's tearing it up for Juventus and we'll continue to struggle in attack. "But he wasn't mentally strong enough!"

Bizarre thing is that most of our wide options are poor currently. Mata is playing well, but Rashford, Martial and Memphis are three players who all do want to do the same thing, but are currently not successful at it. We've even got a fourth right-footed left-sided forward in Young!

You'd think Mkhi would be a great complement to Pogba, Mata and Zlatan and the type of attacking football we are developing.

Just don't understand wasting so much money on a player you don't intend to play, or aren't 100% committed to.

He should have at least made the bench yesterday, in my opinion. He's never going to adjust to the PL without actually playing games.

Next few games or his career at United is finished. I'm furious seeing Mane play so well for Liverpool and we have a better player playing in the same position but rotting in bench or worse.

Don't think 'all' are surprised. Equally, don't think 'all' wanted this, whatever this is. Equally still, what part of the Mkhitaryan situation is similar to those of De Bruyne and Hazard?

Think Mkhitaryan will eventually full into the category of another foreign underwhelming big summer signing.

If he isn't getting gametime now,or even being a continual figure on the bench,then I cant see how he's going to instantly rise into Jose thoughts and options for the teams offensive game.

I generally think he's a goner.

(Dont think we'll buy from Dortmund anytime soon.And I dont think we'll be a positive proposition for the players either)

Mourinho said at the start of the season that he had identified the positions that needed filling before he was installed as manager, and gave a few options to the board for each position he needed filling. Mourinho said this on multiple occasions; that he was delighted with the business we did and that it met his expectations. No idea what the issue is but I don't think it's because Miki wasn't his choice.
