I've always liked Barkley, there was a time when he looked like he could be England's key midfielder but he has a bigggg problem. Watch when he gets the ball, what does he do ? Does a bit of twinkletoes on the ball to look good, then turns 720 degrees and by now any openings have closed. He needs to think quicker, play it first time more. Up until this season the same could be said of Lallana but now he moves .the ball quickly.
To me, Barkley looks more interested in showcasing his own brillance than creating goals for the team.
Talented player no question about that but not as disciplined as he could be. Would have only seen the ball going over his head for 70 minutes yesterday anyway but clearly not learning from whatever mistakes he is making. Koeman seems like a rational manager so there must be something there, perhaps the press telling everyone what a great player he was after half a decent season went to his head.
When you look at selling players to generate money he is probably second only to Lukaku and Koeman could maybe pick up 2 or 3 with his fee.
Tom Cleverley getting stick. Just such an ordinary player.

Cleverley was rubbish at United followed by rubbish at Villa was a bizarre signing in the first place and as for Barkely I just feel his progress has stalled and he's not got enough to make the next level.
Was Cleverley playing in Barkley's place? That's when you know things are at their worst for you.
£65mil Broccoli is not good enough for Neverton that finished in the bottom half
Barkley has it all, he could be the new Gazza ............but he won't be. Needs a regular kick up the arris. Somehow get the feeling that he likes his comfort zone and isn't going to push up another level.
I don't know whether it's commitment as much as it is match intelligence. It doesn't seem as if he has an ego or a poor attitude but then I don't know him personally. He doesn't come across a bit empty-headed and maybe that's why he's not making a step up, because he lacks the intelligence to and instructions aren't really sinking in.
Brocolli stock is going down better to cash in before it gets rotten
It's his birthday today too - only 23 - needs the right manager to get the best out of him

After the tough love of Moyes, he had the friendly approach from Bobby....
This is when he was at his best, but had no defensive responsibility. Maybe a mix of Moyes and Bobby is what is needed as under Koemans system he wants his players to graft.
That doesn't always mean tackling back, just quickly getting goal-side when you lose possession.
And this clown is worth£65mil for the deluded Neverton fans

Yet he would walk straight into your starting XI with absolute ease, even McGeady would waltz into your XI
I see the d|ldo brothers are backing fraud Bilic, the longer the mess continues the harder to it'll be to clean up, fat sam is waiting in the wings.
