If it goes tats up it'll be the fault of those committing the acts, not the police or SPFL or anyone else.
They should behave themselves.
i agree with ivan, it will be rangers fans fault.
and doncaster is clearly one of them.

Done to save the polis money, no other reason.
The home team will pay for all polis in the stadium.
The policing out side come from the police budget.
As its the 31st of December its not a designated public holiday. The officers on duty have been given more than 6 weeks notice, so they will get single time with no enhancement, OR a day back.
If it was on the 1st or the second both public holidays they cost would be double time AND a day back.
So it would cost the polis up to 3 times what it costs on the 31st.
The top brass police agreed with this simple to save some cash and for no other reason.

I don't actually have a problem with the police trying to save the tax payer money. Seems sensible to me. Could just have had the game in mid January for all I care.

Im sure given the vast majority go to these games and behave then this will go off without incident.
Even the loonies will be heading back home I would have thought
While I agree on the face of it that it seems madness their may actually be some method in it.
My only down side is I like a few beers before and after but will have to give that a miss given a big long night at non football friends...
Did the SFA not tell us a couple of years back that the FIXTURES SCHEDULE for SPFL was made by computer..????

It might well be, but all computers are programmed by humans.
For now.
Admin2 and I were chatting about this fixture and the date. Could it be maneuvers afoot to shift liability onto clubs and boost SFA coffers?

The worse the conduct the more pertinent the need for the conversation?
