Good article as always Lane though I couldn't help but cringe by your description of Tom Huddlestone as a Rolls Royce type of player. To carry on the analogy I would say he is well overdue an MOT

Yep, you're probably right. Bit clunky. I was trying to think of a way of describing his cool, calm, laid-back style in a concise way. Ledley King is always talked of as a Rolls Royce defender, and I think Huddlestone was the midfield equivalent of that.
You're probably also right about him being past his sell by date, although it's easy to forget he's still only 29. Like Lennon, it seems like he's been around forever, but at 29 he should be hitting his peak. Unfortunately for Tom, he's sliding the other way it would seem. He had his best years early on, in a Spurs, Wolves and Derby shirt.

Excellent article, as always.
They'll have a point to prove tonight but the standard of their team really isn't very high - if we cannot win this game then there are huge problems.
