DJ. Honestly what's your opinion of the signings of Xhaka and Perez?
Surely they have been a waste? Perez will hardly play in the league while Xhaka looks lost out there.

Lucas Perez has barely played, so is hard to judge his long term ability to step up.
Xhaka has been up and down. The pace is too quick for him, but when he gets time on the ball he shows some class. Hasn't been easy for him to get games, and hasn't had the chance to build a partnership yet either.
For both I think they need time to settle into the PL and our way of playing. More optimistic about Xhaka long term.

Fergie didn’t always get it right but over the span of his career he had more success than not.
The point re Ox is that it’s too early to write him off. If, away from match day Ox is performing (which seems to be the case as has started of late) hopefully (over time) he will be able to replicate away from training.
If he can’t, he won’t have a future at the club.

Bild say Wolfsburg wants 40M EUR for him but would let him go for 35M EUR.
"He looks certain to leave Wolfsburg this January and as usual we are one of the favourites to sign him."
The media in Germany expect him to go. Allofs is not the manager of Wolfsburg anymore. So something could change. We are not favourites to sign him but we are linked with him. The German media saying that Özil playing a part in this. Partly to convince him to move to Arsenal.
According to the media many clubs are after him. PSG are the favourites and according to the media made already contact and made appearently an offer of 30M EUR.
