Xhaka was good first half.

There have been countless articles singling out individuals. IMO the underlying problem is more to do with collective responsibility rather than individual ability.

Arsenal dominated the first half yesterday but as soon as City equalised, each to a man, they were unable to react. Yet Arsenal were unable to alter their game, and still tried to play out from the back, even when City pressed higher up the pitch.

Also worth noting that most of the team were absolutely shattered after 60mins.

Knee Jerk. First properly bad performance from Xhaka, but I don't understand how the focus has been on him and not on Coquelin, who was completely shocking yesterday. Ozil put in his worst performance since his first season too. Bad as it was, Xhaka was still our best midfielder

I couldnt watch live and recorded the game so knew we had lost when I watched it. I have often been alone is saying I doubt Xhaka can make it in the PL so was watching Xhaka closely to see if he could convince me otherwise. He was poor. Static, easy to read and slow in attack and defence.

But its not uncommon for big money signings not to work out as well as expected. Both Manchester clubs have made a number of signings over the last few years signings who were expected to do well but ended up as bench warmers. Liverpool, Chelsea and others have as well but not to the same extent. It happens.

When you have a weak spine like we do with Xhaka and Gabby there it affects the whole team. We've effectively got a broken back.

Can't write off Xhaka it's his first season in the pl. However is does pee u off that we could have got Kante for £20mil instead of spunking £35 mil on Xhaka.

Also plenty of players were just as bad as him. Monreal, Iwobi, Ozil, Gabrial, Kos, Bellerin, Walcott to name a few.

The problem is the man signing them.

Time has overtaken Arsene at the top and he will never get it back.
