Never any doubt, angry don.

SIssoko will be a fixture in this first eleven soon and will be spoke about like Rose, toby, kane, lloris when he hits his stride. He has every attribute to be top quality but he needs the coach to get it out of him, there aint no better than Poch to enhance a players performance.

I would def play sissoko ahead of the useless Dembele awful again tonight. Hopefully one of the Chinese sides buy him with his dodgy hip for £50 million.

Got the feel of a Lamela signing. Not worth the fee but should prove to be a very valuable player nonetheless.

look like, well let's hope he keeps it up.

Probably his best game in a Spurs shirt so far tonight.
He can be unstoppable when he is on his game. I'm not sure he is best as a wide player but better suited on the right of a midfield three.

Exactly this. Out wide we lose his natural abilities and he looks positionally lost having rarely played there in his career apart from makeshift for newcastle. Must be played central, when he hits stride it will be exciting to watch.

He will never be a 30 million pound player, not in a million years

How do you know this Don?

Come on mate, do you honestly believe Sissoko is a 30 million pound player? If he was 22 then possibly you have an argument but he's not worth the money at all. But if he continues to perform like this then all good

posted on 28/12/16

I suppose it depends on what £30m gets u nowadays.

Raheem Sterling cost City £49m so Sissoko can most definitely be a £30m player.

posted on 28/12/16

There's so much money in football nowadays £30m doesn't get you a top top tier player.

To think back in 91 we sold Gazza for just over £5m.

posted on 28/12/16

Gazza at his peak would be worth £150m in todays market, compared to Pogba for eg

What is your problem with regards to Dembele?!!!

He did ok today..he had to play with the threat of a 2nd yellow card for most of the game,so had to be careful with the tackles..

To say he is useless is unbelievable..mate you are completely clueless..

Some of your observations are decent..the rest are completely wide of the mark..I'm not the only one on this board who thinks so..

Tbf Dembele was rubbish tonight. Easily out worst player as he's been most the season

Hoping he'll find last seasons form but not looking likely

posted on 29/12/16

First of all you have to be a complete idiot to think Ali dived! He stayed on his feet as long as he could to get a shot off.

Secondly Sissoko is beginning to show his "French national" form. If he plays as well as he did in the French colors in the Euros, he'll most definitely be worth the 30 mil we paid (in today's market where Pogba cost 90 mil).

Quite right. They were waiting for Dembele tonight; he was double teamed most of the time, which freed Eriksen up.

My word LLM is clueless...

Never have I seen someone speak so confidently about the horseshit coming out of their mouth. Complete guesswork

I like Sissoko. Despite his Wembley performance, which was one of the worst I have witnessed live if I am honest.

He gives me visions of a toddler that has taken control of a powerful man's body. Or a Great Dane puppy. Or a Lamborghini driven by a 17yr old.

I do like a player that will run at a defence. If he can flatten a player or two while doing so then it is all good . More to come from him I think

Who has the worst first touch - Sissoko or Son?

Both players have a lot of other qualities, but a silky first touch is not one of them!

posted on 29/12/16

Not sure about Son, when it's played in front of him his first touch is generally good as you could see by the goal last night. It's more when it's played into feet or with his back to goal, he just gets himself into a right tangle

Been saying it all year, dembele and wanyama doesn't work. Dembele looks like a pub player. Not sure when people will realise this

Where is all this hatred of Dembele coming from this season?🤔

Losing him for last few matches allowed Arsenal to sneak into 2nd place ahead of us😤

And yes I know it was his own fault, I am only highlighting that we are a better team with him playing. He rarely loses possession and always gives us an added dimension in any game.

He might not be 100% fit at present though, rumours are that he has a nagging hip problem, which does limit him slightly in terms of mobility.

In my opinion, on his day Dembele is up there in the top echelon of midfield players in the PL, the only weakness to his game is the lack of goals, add that to his game and he would be perfect.👍

We sold the other scapegoats so it's obvious he was next in line.

It's fair to say he doesn't operate as well next to Wanyama as he does with Dier though. They tend to occupy the same space whereas Dier just freed him up to do what he does best. That doesn't make him a bad player though.

I'm not convinced the hip thing is still an issue, it hasn't been given a s a rason for injuries for a long time. Seems to be something LLM drags up from time to time but he's about as ITK as I am.

He's one of the most techinically gifted players we have. He rarely gives the ball away and his ability to ghost past players is very rare these days

Dembele isn't a scape goat. Last season he was immense and got praised. This season he has been shocking and is being criticised. Don't see what the issue is tbh. Let's not kid ourselves and pretend he's been good

this

tbh, he has more leeway with the fans than any other player at Spurs. We were still singing his name despite a really poor showing culminating in a subbing yet again.

Dunno what happened to him and Dier after how they both played last season. Just as well Sissoko is beginning to actually look like a footballer
