No vetting done by the media?
------------------------------------------------
Do you honestly think that if this was Manchester United or Chelsea this guy's entire life wouldn't be dissected with a needle? All I'm asking if for a couple of journalists to actually do some journalism and look into this guy, instead of mindlessly tweeting rubbish. If everything if good about him, great, but they should be wirting articles about him weeks ago, give the fans transparency. We don't know what his plans are, how is he going to fund Leeds? yet he has just been allowed to buy a football club. When Cellino was buying Leeds, were had wall to wall negativity from the media about him, no objectivity that he had tangible wealth and experience in running football clubs. Maybe the holier than thou football writers have decided they are so offended by cellino they will allow an amateur to buy an English football club (one of the most volitile) without so much a wimper. My impression of this guy is that he is basically an agent, he has no experience in running a football club. how can that be good for football in Leeds.

Leedsforever, your either a stand up comedian, or Fred Parrot!..

"We don't know what his plans are"

Cellino told us his, Premiership football, Elland Road, Thorp Arch, keeping the best, the list goes on!..

"how is he going to fund Leeds?"

He's already funding Leeds, ask Cellino!..

"yet he has just been allowed to buy a football club"

Friggin ell, the FL got something right for once!..

Things you've put against are all things lover boy shouldn't have got!..

And as far as the Media and sport goes, if they cant pin anything on a guy in Media and sport then all those trying should be sacked!..

Brilliant LIW I appreciate the banter. All good.

If he turns out to be bad Cellino will be to blame. If he's good, it'll be in spite of Cellino........!!

Birmingham City had teputable Chinese owners.....

Good and bad in every corner of this world. We're doing well and I hope it continues. Might make some people choke I guess!

" one thing I know is that Chinese business guys are really sharp and particular about who they deal with. "

Yes exactly, as I have pointed out before. And another thing about Chinese business people: they are extremely, jealously guarded of their image, and extremely careful of who they associate themselves with. With that in mind: if this man had Chinese investors, we would already know about it. He doesn't. The harsh reality is Leeds will never attract Chinese investors because we have a toxic brand. Partly the fault of terrible succession of owners since Ridsdale and partly the fault of some of our fans who are complete morons!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Leeds have attracted very wealthy Chinese investors who wanted 100% of the club. Cellino wouldn't sell!

I know this for a fact! I know who was trying to broker th deal (and it isn't Tappin).

The news gets better and better, timed perfectly. I think the 50% split suits Cellino and Radrizzani for now. Cellino wants to keep an interest in an asset that is increasing in value. Radrizzani needs someone with experience of the championship. They both speak the same language and the mix of media and ownership skills will benefit both of them. This looks like a good fit for everyone.
I think Radrizzani has been involved for a while and Monk's comments about transfers earlier this week suggest that he was given assurances about funding, contracts and transfer policy, now that there is a new owner on board.
Still a long way to go but at last, the pieces are sliding into place. I am looking forward to securing loanees and a couple of important additions in the next fortnight.
A side note here - hasn't Wood's improvement been amazing this season? Who would have had him down for 20+ goals this season? He is getting some great coaching. As many are saying, we need to secure the management team with improved long-term contracts..

His history is pretty easy to obtain. Secondly, if the media say he's no good it holds no weight. If Cellino wants to sell he sells.

I do wonder, and have done time and again and been disappointed, whether Cellino has learnt to let others do their jobs and keep out of the limelight.

The past 6 months have been refreshing. He's been absent in terms of tinkering and talking, and there is improvement in every aspect of our club. No chanting about him at games, as if he has been forgotten.

Now we have someone coming in and prepared to share power with him. I really hope they keep their sparks internal and don't destabilise us incessantly with unrequired media statements and rants about standard things that should be kept internal.

I don't know anything about this guy other than he is Italian. I'm hopeful, but it will be tough for him sharing with Cellino. My advice? Just back the manager and team and keep out of the limelight

Look him up. Dead simple and you'll know all about him in minutes. Just read the club statement, which is consistent with information about him in the public domain

The above link brings up a concise article about him and his background. Loads of other stuff on 't net

You linked me to a daily mail article that told me only one thing other than he is Italian and runs his company. The one thing is that if we get promoted he does not have rights to buy the other 50%

posted on 5/1/17

Read it all LST. You clearly haven't. The Q&A section also tells you about his background and his involvement in MP Silva and the Chinese company he sold 65% of his shares in MP Silva to. There's a lot of other stuff in the public domain about him. At the end of the season if Cellino decides to sell the remaining 50% and Leeds are promoted to the PL, Cellino would get a fixed bonus rather than the share price going up to reflect the increased value of the club.

Here's some of it if you can't be arsed:

WHO IS ANDREA RADRIZZANI?

Where's he from?

Italy. Radrizzani was born in Milan in 1974.

What's his background?

A degree in public relations from IULM University set him on course for a career in the media industry.

Where's he made his money?

The 42-year-old was a founding partner of MP & Silva - a sports TV rights distributor - in 2004. In May of last year, Everbright Securities and Beijing Baofeng Technology acquired a 65 per cent stake in the company for more than $1bn.

What does he do?

That tells us nothing! We know nothing about his ways of working nor his key strengths.

With Bates we knew about him. With Cellino, there was loads of information.

GFH were under the radar and soon found to be completely incompetent and out of their depth and had no money despite being a front for a bank.

I have learnt nothing from this information you all continue to spout because this is all that has been given out and respouted by every news outlet.

This could be great news for us. He may be squeaky clean and masterful.

Bottom line is we have nothing to go on to give us an idea of what he is actually like.

I'm hoping he will be brilliant for us.

Just like I hoped for every boss man, I hope this guy is the real deal, continues to fly under the radar and we go from strength to strength. Onwards and upwards.

But I have nothing more to go on than blind hope and a carefully constructed and uninformative cv that you all keep spouting

LST, are you looking for a smoking gun hidden in a cupboard alongside some skeletons?

Comp are him with the Big C, who arrived with a blaze of negative information:
- Italian tax evasion cases pending,
- shenanigans about stadium construction irregularities,
- issues with local city council,
- canceling season tickets,
- moving the team to play home games hundreds of mikes away,
- the "manager eater,"
- relegating a team from Serie A,
- fallout with family from their business.

Did I miss anything?

Sometimes no news is good news. If there was dirt on him, it likely would have surfaced very quickly, just as it did with the Big C.

FFS!!
I give up. Whatever LST! Think what you like. I generally do. Plenty of info about him everywhere. How you can say that all there is out there is that he is Italian and the "one other thing" ( read your post earlier) beggars belief!!

Got to agree with long

And am backing this new guy

But it's everyone did this blind faith with Cellino and ended up looking stupid

posted on 5/1/17

After the last three owners each time one comes in we have blind faith, does seem like this fella is on the level, the club is in the best place it has been for a long while, now AR might have been pulling the strings for the last few months or MC might have seen the light, I know which one I believe, MOT

posted on 5/1/17

LIW, totally different to when the Big C came in.

A number of people came on these boards soon after the Big C became known to us and informed us of his background (see my posting above).

In desperation, many hoped it would not be the same for us. It wasn't blind faith, it was faith looking in the opposite direction.

MOT (without the Big C)!!!

posted on 5/1/17

I am having blind faith. I have no other option. I know nothing about this fella. I am hoping to hell he is the real deal.

But I'm also looking at what happened to us over the last 15 years. And looking at Portsmouth and Luton and Chester City etc.

Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence.

In the same way I gave our other owners the benefit of the doubt until they had completely screwed up, I will give AR the benefit of the doubt too. And hope he won;t screw up.

But I still know naff all about him, and that is exactly just as much as the rest of you know about him.

Blind faith, MOT.

I was one off the give Cellino a chance bods, but the way he came in and the way he treated McD soon ended that!..

His treatment off people and his demands from people let me know straight away what he was, and he's not the sort of person I'd want to share a train with!..

It didn't take at all long to turn me against him, and it was all his own doing!.
