I have no issue with any player, even Costa, going to China or anywhere else if they choose to.

I support Chelsea and not individuals.

As for your post it is no more than the stories circulating, and that I'd speculation.

The media loves to speculate, it's how they make their money, take a few situations, make a story and let the masses hit their websites, show the figures to their investors, raise advertising revenue and get paid to speculate some more. No media outlet can live off solid news alone, it doesn't sell, gossip sells.

Also the media loves to build up a club or an individual, then they have more to chip away at. We all like to see success fail, so a team or individual doing well is a better story as rivals lap it up. If you are lucky you can even turn the home fans. I see it all the time including fans I know that should know better.

So, nice theories but I don't buy them.

Even if you think that the Costa story is media led hype, what is undeniable is the fact that players, in their prime, are going to China....for huge amounts of money.

I have not denied it, I did say I have no issue with it, I also said it wouldn't bother me if even Costa went.

You simply read what you want to believe. Indulge me, read the attached article, you will enjoy it as it supports your view. I'll give you a while then explain my thoughts on the article. There is one major aspect that leads me to doubt it and several smaller ones, see if you can identify the major one.

Agree with the article

Costa leaving is no risk to Chelsea, they have the money and draw to attract the player needed to replace him

Which is why I am not concerned. Of course it isn't as simple as throwing mo eyes at a player and there are no guarantees a successful striker at one club will be okay at another but we have been through the process many times and will do so many more, Costa will leave or be sold at done stage, I just don't buy this story.

So in relation to the article I posted above, the major doubt for me is languages, Costa needs an interpreter when doing sky interviews, Conte English is coming on but he still needs help when talking calmly in his interviews on occasion, now I am to believe that these to can have a heated verbal argument in a common language when you tend to think and speak in your own when angry, and that this reporter heard it.

Then there are the smaller doubts, his screen shot times his comment at 20.05, what was he, the manager and Costa doing at the same spot at that time of the day? And if it occurred earlier why wait until soate to post it? Where did this exchange take place and when? Why did this article appear on newsnow timed 15 minutes before the sky man's post claiming the words were heard by an Italian media outlet?

appartently diego is 28...if you believe that then you should work at the FA. So he's only got a few more years in him if you assume he's actually early 30s. Plus like many other players from south america he has various parties with a stake in him, so they will be pushing for a move to maximise their return. Don't assume that there aren't some hefty 'brown' envolopes involved when dealing with Chinese football. Funny how none of these teams are poaching players from Man City (or its academy) , but this may have something to do with the Chinese Govt's stake in that club (get my drift? also destabilising Citeh's rivals)

Of course, but when the news that Oscar was to be sold to China it was much more solidly reported, the facts were clearer and not based on speculation but fact.

Every window there are stories linking players to various clubs, probably 10% actually happen.

I must go with JFDI on this ,..But, we must remember that he is Brazilian, and they certainly have a different mind set when it comes to football and money. Who will be next I wonder amongst the Brazilian contingent in the PL and also throughout Europe ?

Oh and I have said my piece, I will not discuss it further as its a waste of time and I am not trying to change anyone's mind, just attempting to explain my take.

Time will prove me right or wrong, time I'll use for better things than arguing on a website.

Spot on Op, although it will take them 100 years to get their at the same level, buy buying 1 player per window!

Nearly all chelsea signing went to chelsea fir money in the first place, i remember when the club was boit gor a pound sterling, and you owner bout sbout 25 players in the first window.

Most of the players cane for the money, as your werent even. The biggest club in london never mind Europe.

Face facts Torres left Liverpool for the money and nost players will do the same.

Did this Go.0n really start his third Costa article in two days? He's posted on little else, what a desperate plum.

So what?

I've seen plenty of Chelsea heroes leave the club in my time, going back to Osgood, Hudson then Wilkins.- not quite as far as Greaves though!

The club will still remain (although that was a close run thing in the 80s) and it's the club I support not individuals.

If Costa does go, some one will be bought in to replace him but until the Chinese buy Chelsea Football Club, dismantle the stadium and re-build Stamford Bridge in Tiananmen Square I'm not going to unduly worry about it.

All we need to remember once again that this is nothing to us compared to the more serious issues we have had to deal with in the past.

If Costa stays or goes and has to be replaced by another high profile signing it isn't going to mean that we become shiite overnight. We will still be major players in the Premier League both this season and in seasons to come.
