Galvs...Friend of Reason (U10415)

One country says it's OK to sleep with a child of 12, another it's illegal.
Another place said that being gay is wrong, another says it's fine.
Someone else says it's ok to cheat on my wife as long as she doesn't find out.

Whose standard do we go by if humans were to work work out their own morals?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Honestly, if you can't work out for yourself (even with this lovely brain you think God gave you....as well as free will?) what is right from wrong you're not using the tools were given.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
So it's OK to sleep with a child of 12 then?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
What an odious thing to say.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Because some places it's fine for that to happen, also it happened in the UK in victorian/edwardian times, but a Christian organisations deemed it wrong and protested against it.

OK...I'll stare at you bared teeth for a second.
Why does God allow all this horrible stuff to happen then?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
simple answer is we have a choice to choose between good and evil,

long answer I don't have time to explain today

I could ask, seeing as you mentioned it, if you think Christians have never done anything terrible in history...like the 'bad religions' have ?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
People professing they are Christians, yes. And they still do bad stuff, but from what I've read they are not following what Jesus or the apostles talked about.

I would laugh at your predictability but you are serious so I won't.

God doesn't allow bad things to happen but warns that bad things will happen when people over step the mark

That list you provided above is about God or peoples greed etc?

Problem is even those professing to be religious don't know squat often

Let's take the story of Abraham and sacrificing his son. Do you think that was about human sacrifice or did it put an end to human sacrifice? Something that was happening regularly incidentally (so much for humans knowing right and wrong)

Your simple answer backs up my previous point about knowing right from wrong.
Humans have a choice regardless of religion.

no really, because no one can define what is good and what is evil.

You say a lot without saying anything.
People can see with their own eyes that are accusing me of the very thing I accuse you of.

Where does God warn us?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

It's in all the books.

He didn't write those books...was it a ghost writer? (pardon the pun....actually don't)
----------------------------------------------------------------------

There is no pun there for a Muslim.

There's your problem your knocking all faiths bases on what you may have been taught

With respect that's my point. Us religious don't know.

The Abraham story was much more than that. It was a lesson on no human sacrifice too

I don't believe the Quran is correct, so no point arguing with you on this
