Err... he was already 30 (african footballer) yrs old when he went to anzhi. That in no way blighted his career.
Easily the bettee than drogba or toure
Not sure if he has had a mention, Gerard Pique.
Not as showy as Ramos, but been at the heart of Barca's defence for all the good times this side has had. Always willing to have a try up top too when times are getting desperate.
Dani Alves was some player too in his pomp
Depends on how you define legend.
There may currently only be 2-3 players that will go down as legends, or there could be a few dozen.
It's like the term "world class". Everyone seems to have their own definition of the term.
Eto os actually my pick too i just thought it was a shame. Thought he was 29 then but same difference really
Yaya is a four time African footballer of the year and won the African cup of nations with Ivory Coast, something which Drogba failed to do
Two time la liga champion and champions league winner with Barcelona as a defensive minded player, he then went on to prove how talented and versatile he was by playing as an attacking CM for City, being their main man in winning two league titles, scoring 20 PL goals from midfield in 13-14
He also scored vital goals along the way including the FA cup final in 2011 and the carling cup final in 2014
All these achievements aside, I also think Yaya is the most technical player to come out of Africa, in terms of close control, passing and dribbling, all while having a large frame which doesn't give the advantage of a lower centre of gravity usual technical players have
Underrated
Mohammed Aboutrika is the most technical African player.
Ronaldinho, if retired, should be a benchmark for the term legendary along with or even more so than Pele and Maradona. He gave football a different dimension that we didn't know it had.

He is underrated i agree
I think in part because City fans have been down on him for a bit
He was also however arguably the weakest part of that Barca team
Speaks a lot about the state of the Premier League when the so called weakest member of Barcelona is able to carry a team to the title

was virtually unplayable 2-3 seasons back...has been brilliant
Hazard is certainly a contender
JT definately is
Ozil of course.
Assist titles in 3 different major leagues (PL, La Liga, Bundesliga), both the CL & Europa, and the World Cup & Euros.
5-time Germany Player of the Year.
World Cup-winner, icon, innovator, Creative King.

Alexis Sanchez also a contender.
Led Chile, who had never won a major title, to 2-straight Copa America titles.
At the first of those tournament wins, he sealed the title with a panenka penalty. At the second, he won the Golden Ball and retired the legendary Lionel Messi in the process... leaving Messi in tears, without an international title.
4 league titles in 3 different countries, scored one of the all-time great Cup Final goals.
Ozil and Sanchez are not in the same league as the others mentioned to day.
