Ah man just realised that Red Dead Redemption is backwards compatible on Xbox One as well. I have unfinished business on that game.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
When is Red Dead 2?
Im just asuming here but there is no difference between running say World at War on the Xbox 360 and Xbox one other than the console that is running it. You would still be playing the same players on the same servers therefore if the hackers existed on the 360 they would still be there on the Xbox one.
It really doesnt bother me in the slightest as I said If had the Xbox 360 and then got the Xbox one the only difference would be the convenience of not having to plug my 360 in to play the games. The games itself would be no different at all.
delboy I've been trying to find out. I just assumed that if it's getting an Xbox One release then Microsoft would do more to get rid of all the hackers that ruined multiplayer
na bud im fairly certain that they would just be runnin on the old servers still.. WAW was my favourite CoD and I bought it again just for the buzz of it a few years ago but the online lobbies as you said were hacked to hell. I cant imagine that has changed to be fair. It wont be a Microsoft thing tho, its not their servers it will be Activision servers and once the next installment of CoD came out their attentions just went to the new games servers.
delboy when you bought it again was that on the Xbox One ?

Na it was another copy for the PS3 bud .... I dont have a Xbox 1 sorry. On Red Dead 2 yes Rockstar confirmed "Fall" 2017 date so Autumn tho if memory serves me right GTA 5 was delayed so there maybe a decent chance this will too but hopefully out before crimbo
Ok just asked because I saw a comment somewhere else about someone who had played WAW on Xbox One without any hackers.
Maybe the hackers issue is only really a problem on PS3.
I just did a bit of looking there bud and it seems that the Hacking is less of a problem just now due to more Xbox one players playing..... there are still hackers out there on it however as it is still being played by some 360 players. The hacking is taking place thro those still playing on the 360's but lobbies cannot be hacked by the Xbox one players. So defo seems that for the most part it should be ok but there is still a chance that you end up with 360 players. Be warned tho that some hacks dont just contain a lobby that has infinite ammo or wall hacks some actually put your level back to one and give you negative XP and can ruin it for you. Best of luck tho and defo worth a bash, it would seem that its a lot rarer to come across the hacks.
Cheers for the info Delboy, yeah I experienced some weird hacks on the PS3, but that sounds a lot more positive on Xbox One. Might have to save up for an Xbox One now although they're still a bit pricey, even second hand.
Which is annoying because I started off with an Xbox One before selling it and getting a PS4.
I'm happy withat xbox one. It's been making big strides in improving it's features and the backwards compatibility is a nice bonus. Some of the games with gold have been great as well.
what about the switch tho
Xbox one standalone games hav been pretty poor however

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Examples?
Quantum break and gears of war were below average.. Maybe I was wrong in saying the standalone were poor maybe a lack of good standalones is what I mean
I think the word youre looking for is exclusives
And yeh except Forza most Xbone exclusives have been average/good to poor and generally the new IPs have suffered the most. We recently had a death of another new IP, and the others recently teased I dont think any of them stand out that much.
Microsoft seems to struggling to manage the talent they got. Lionhead closed and Rare making remakes and Sea of thieves (looks interesting unfortunately I think its gonna bomb).....
Just seen someone selling a supposedly very new but used Xbox One console with Battlefield 1 and charging station for £130. Seems like a very good deal.
Not sure if having both an Xbox One and a PS4 is excessive though. Also not sure if switching from an Xbox controller to a PS4 controller is going to be easy as they're both different.
Anyone here have both consoles? If so how is it using both controllers ?
I've never had a problem switching between the controllers. This gen or last. However, some people swear by one or the other.
The deal looks good superb, mate. But only worth your while if you really, really want to play Gears, Halo or Forza. Im in the same boat and think I have come to the conclusion im just gonna wait for the Scorpio, currently have too much to play atm, with a huge back log, adding another console in which I only have a passing interest with the exclusives wont really help my cause. And to be fair I would wait until March and buy a stupidly cheap WiiU, feel that has a better back catalogue of exclusives.
To me the Xbox one thumbsticks are not as sensitive as the PS pads therefore not so good for aiming in FPS shooters I do feel however the Xbox one pad is far more comfortable for playing longer stints on
ps £130 is an excellent deal !! Id be very tempted by that

Own both and don't agree with that at all.
Was the case previoud gen though
Battlefield bad company 2 has been brilliant to go back to,sometimes I worry nostalgia is what makes a game you use to play great but it's as good as it ever was, packed servers,Vietnam is brilliant, chuffed👌🏻
