Reports coming out that Rudkin, who incredibly still has the ear of the Thais, is pushing for Ranieri to stay and that CR has the support of senior figures in the club.

What's not helping is that they are no doubt remembering the great escape under Pearson, without probably understanding that the team spirit was strong and we were actually playing much better back then

It's the championship all the way I'm afraid and I've said it for months

Fear you may be correct, totally unacceptable.
We could be the unwanted subject of a pub quiz question in a few years time. How embarrassing is that?

Interesting in depth interview with Rob Dorsett and Ranieri now on Sky Sports website and will be played before the match today. Have a look

http://www.skysports.com/football/news/11661/10754987/claudio-ranieri-leicester-fairy-tale-is-over-but-we-must-stick-together

It's hard not to like the guy, he clearly has belief in himself and a strong character - whether the players really believe in him as well is a different matter

I think the only way we can judge if he's lost the players or not will be down to the amount of effort they show. If they put 100% in every game then we'll know he hasn't but if we continue to see gutless performances then it will suggest he has. Time will tell.

You do wonder where the problems are. It was interesting that Hull sold their best player by a country mile, everybody assumed they were preparing for the championship. But no their results have picked up dramatically - was he a bad apple - and more to the point have we got a bad apple or maybe two in our squad

posted on 5/2/17

We have Rudkin unfortunately who can be considered a useless apple

Rudkin - You're probably right there - a bit out of his depth I'm afraid

Swansea were our only realistic chance of an away win with this season's away form, looks like that could be another unwelcome record we could set.

After the last 3-4 years of setting positive records and improvements it's already getting boring setting the wrong one's, I said earlier in the season we had peaked, lets hope the Club can stop the slide back down the mountainside before we totally fall off the cliff face.

I have no issues with the players, in fact it seems they've been following orders well and to the best of there ability, lets just get the orders get changed and let them off the leash if it's not too late.

The only gutless performances have come from the Managers tactics, I've seen he players giving everything, in fact looking knackered at the end a lot of the time.

I agree with True Blue here. I don't see evidence of players not trying hard enough - that's the laziest thing for fans to say. It's so easy to bang on about huge pay packets and motivation

The fact is that Vardy was geeing up his team mates against Derby and Burnley and it was clear against both sides that the players were trying. But they have to be coached in a style which plays to their strengths

I see a lot of evidence of the players not trying in the last few games. They need to step up and quickly.

Yes Ranieri's changes haven't helped, but the players need to take responsibility for their poor performances and fight. I won't criticise them if they do that.

Oh we've seen poor performances but it's understandable they've lost their confidence but not lack of trying, they've been throwing the bodies in the way in the last couple of matches more than we've seen all season?

Ndidi if he continues settling in the way he has started will be a massive boost, plus Amartey coming back from AFCON ( lets face it, the one player we missed the most from the 3 ! ) are positives going forwards.

Gutless Managers Tactics?
Players giving everything?
TB and BS must be watching our games through rose tinted specs again!!!

CR has got plenty wrong this season and is as much to blame as anybody for where we are, but to call his tactics"gutless" is a cheap shot and unworthy.
And it has been regularly commented on here, and all media outlets that the players are not giving everything for the cause ( for whatever reason).

Anyway lets get behind the boys today as we always do and we may just be surprised.

Read it again moron, the 'gutless performances' have come from the tactics!!

Moron???

I really seem to have riled TB recently!!
My apologies that I derived from your statement that by gutless performances due to tactics you were also labelling the tactics gutless.
If I misconstrued that then I was incorrect.

Oi don't drag me into it Dilly - I didn't use that phrase...!

I think when players are poor it's too easy to say that they aren't trying. It could be a confidence issue and as we've seen in the newspaper reports it could be....not understanding how Ranieri wants them to play

Poor performances don't always equal not trying - it's the laziest and easiest thing to say in the world.

I completely agree BS that they don't always equal not trying but like I say there has to be something in these " not trying hard enough" accusations as it has been picked up on by us, many many journalists and many ex pro's as well.
Its just another of the factors as to why we are where we are today.

The players were quite happy to take all the adulation, plaudits and rewards last season when things went well so they must expect to be held accountable this season when the wheels are wobbling if not yet fallen off.

I'd agree if we thought they were superstars in the first place, outsiders are genuinely ignorant of Leicester, we weren't even on the radar before the great escape and League win so it's easy to say the players are letting us down, not that that isn't partly true but it's an easy and lazy thing for pundits to say.

What I'd ask is who?

Who isn't trying, who's being lazy?

Who isn't being vocal, pointless question really because apart from Kasper there isn't a single 'vocal player out there including Morgan to have gone quiet?

There have been plenty of performances where the required effort hasn't been there, now I put it down to fatigue which you said I was wrong about so if it wasn't fatigue they just weren't working hard enough. So either it was fatigue or lack of effort, has to be one of them! The players can only blame Ranieri for not knowing instructions in a handful of games, where's their excuse for the rest?
