it had them to, you pushed a button and a green thing popped out the side.

wipers were a different story, you had to move this handle right to left, right to left right to left... you were fecked if it was piiiissing it down and you had to change gear

Too many to list.

First car was a y reg Vauxhall cavalier hatchback, but hadn't passed my test

First car on passing test was Vauxhall cavalier saloon on a D reg. Had this car the longest. After that changed cars virtually every 6-9 months until around 2008 when started buying new. Now change around every 3 years
