Why an earth would we go 3 at the back? We are in decent form. Keep it as it is with a front 3 of mkhi rashford and martial. The city backline are terrified of pace and them 3 have it in abundance
that back three is so bad thank god you're not manager.
No OP.
We should play 2 up front, 4 at the back and start with 11 players.
Rectify these errors and then you might be on to something close to what we should do for the derby.
we beat a Chelsea team with 3 at the back. Did you watch how open city were yesterday when arsenal played 3 at the back.
Can't see pogba being fit. Its going to be a midfield 3 of carrick fellaini and herrera i am afraid

We didn't play a back three against Chelsea, why do people keep saying that?

were you laughing when we played 3 at the back against Chelsea and won without them taking one shot on target
starting with 10 men... different approach

are you really that thick?
so I'm supposed to believe a Sky Sports graphic over what I saw on the pitch? Herrera was most playing RB keeping Hazard quiet, and Darmian was playing LB keeping Pedro quiet. It wasn't a back three. Sky thought we were playing Rooney up front yesterday, but it was Martial.

it definitely wasn't a back four. But for a second let's say it wasn't a back 3 what formation were we playing?

I think you're both wrong.
I spent the first 10-15 minutes trying to figure out what our shape was from the stands.
It was a very flexible system which allowed for movement and interchange. Our shape adjusted depending on the phase of play. It did look at times like we were playing with a back three when Valencia and Young were pushing forward and Darmian took up a central position. Other times it looked like a back four with Darmian filling in at LB with Valencia at RB or Herrera when Valencia pushed forward.
LVG used Fellaini the most effectively.

I don't know.
I've seen a bunch of people claim that Herrera was playing at rightback as well. Which is clearly nonsense.
LvG got more out of Fellaini than Moyes and Mourinho
Got to play to our strengths and City's weakness.
City are hopeless at the back so we have to exploit it as much as we can. But at same time they keep the ball for fun so we need to be compact in midfield and be able to play it around.
I fancy us to get something I really do. Rashford, Miki, Lingard, Martial....whoever is picked has pace and will give them all sorts of bother.
Aguero is in red hot form though so that worries me. Hopefully Silva wont be back. He's magic for them and they look worse without "merlin".
Rashford gave Cities defence a torrid time last season, he has to start for me.
Merson is back with his predictions:
