Fellaini - It's time to stop

It says more about moyes, lvg, Mourinho that they like this type of player, fergie made some bad signings but he didn't keep them once he knew they were cack, imagine a Bayern, Madrid, barce or even a team like Seville or Dortmund having this plodder, that's right you can't

posted on 27/4/17

He is symptomatic of every manager we have hired after fergie. LVG and Jose have played him more that the manager who made the ultimate mistake Moyes.

I stand on my law, fellaini's law, that any manager who sees him as a viable option is not worthy of being the united manager. Simple.

Does he have a brain?

'Damn it a yellow, need to be careful now'
'Oh look I'll go chase that guy'
'Shiiiit fouled him, act cool'
'Why is he... wtf... bosh'
'....fack'

I won't criticise Fellaini as out of the squad as a whole he's in the top 3, IMO, of players who consistently play to their ability. It's just that his ability doesn't give us in midfield what we as fans would like to see from a United side.

In my mind he's not good enough to be a regular starter at United but, used in rotation, has his uses. I don't think he's a terrible player but we must do better if we're to get back challenging.

For all the complaints tonight though he's now pretty much guaranteed to play our Europa semi-final with him missing the league games!

I've never said I want him in the side in every game

But he's more than good enough to be in the squad and to do a job in some of the bigger games.

I think when you look at the consistency of the other squad players and our squad players over the years, I wouldn't say he was more than good enough. An underachiever at best. As I said, great under LVG but over the 3 years he's been here, he's had a handful of stand-out performances. We can do a lot better. Nothing personal, I just think he's too risky a player to have for a club of our standing.

Agree with Melton re Mhki being poor tonight.

He has been wildly inconsistent. My biggest gripe with him is that he doesn't seem to play the game with much control, everything is done so fast with little composure. This contradicts my point, but he wanted to hold onto the ball far too much tonight, he should have been a lot more explosive to offer a threat on the counter. He gave the ball away far too much.

He played well up to that point.

You're too generous. He was average. Made some very poor decisions and was very slow to react most of the time.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

So we're others too, none of your passing was particularly good tonight and why Rashford was feeding of scraps.

Thought Mkhi in particular had a poor game.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Fair comment. We were poor overall tonight and I think if Fellaini hadn't lost the plot, I may not have posted this article, but I could accept his faults if he was a player that stood out in other games, but I just see him as someone that is very replaceable and not someone that's going to get any better.

He's fecking chit and useless despite what robb says.

Get rid of him. And get a cm who can play football.

He should never of been bought.

posted on 27/4/17

I think... That posters see Robb for what he is. Some like it. Some do not.

Either way Fellaini will go down in history in the same way Paddy Roach and Ralph Milne did plus others in United folklore

Fellaini is known for having a cool head. He was just trying to cool Aguero down with it as Aguero is known for being hot headed. To be sent off for that is ludicrous.

Oh, fair one.

Not that Fellaini's sending off had any influence on the game in the end but moments like that outweigh his good performances. He's not good enough to warrant the trouble and risk that comes with playing him, certainly not in games like tonight anyway.

posted on 27/4/17

Why does he have to go? He didn't have to play today but the manager though he was a better option than a TFM or lingard in a more open formation. So blame the manager who has him as the first name on his team sheet.

BTW he did well until he got sent off today...

Marowan 'the belgian helbo' Fellaini is just crap.
It won't ever change.
When people say he has a good game wgat does that mean exactly?
I'll tell you what it means:

Fellaini didn't get sent off
Fellaini didn't give away dumb freekicks
Fellaini didn't give away a penalty
Fellaini didn't give the ball away
Fellaini outjumped a player 8 inches shorter than him

If helbo doesn't do any of that it means he has had a good game to people like Aussie Robb (who should stick to supporting Arsenal) but in reality cut all that out and he's still crap.

He has no ability
No pace
Barely out jumps players in the air
Can't tackle/defend
He can chest a good ball though so he's got that i suppose.

Tldr
Helbo is absolutely facking crap

Mkhi has been poor lately. A couple of goals has masked his performances some what.

I love how people remember the bad points but never mention the good ones.

Ok, I'll admit that Felly played a good pass to Rashford in the first half - best pass I have ever seen him play.

Other than that he was total crap.

How does that mean that Fellaini played well?

posted on 28/4/17

Because he did exactly what his manager had asked him to do, I didn't think his performance up to that point was deserving of additional attention. Mkhi was the one that needed to get more involved in the transitions.

It never is. That's the problem.

Yeah I wasn't disagreeing with the overall sentiment, I said the same earlier in this thread.
