For a man of Ronaldos talents he should have done more internationally

He's deffo in the top 5 of all time but for pure talent he's behind the likes of Maradona, Ronaldo and Messi (in no order)
----------------------------------------------------------------------
first you say 'For a man of Ronaldos talents he should have done more internationally' then you go on to say 'but for pure talent he's behind the likes of Maradona, Ronaldo and Messi'

if ronaldo should have done more at international level what does that say about messi who is naturally more talented and superior to ronaldo? do you even think before you write?

----------------------------------------------------------------------

And Messi has disappointed as well internationally

But taking that out and comparing just him and Cristiano, Messi is the better all round player.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
so now it should be based on players all round playi'm going to take ronaldo out and put in ronaldinho since we are talking about all round play no player comes close to ronaldinho.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Ronaldinho had immense skill but he wasn't an all round legend

posted on 3/5/17

are you crazy ronaldinho could do everything what messi and ronaldo can do. every time ronaldinho would have the ball the crowd would be on their feet

You are that obsessed with our club you have even mentioned us for no reason in an article about Ronaldo Having your user name dedicated to us is funny enough

People obviously don't know what best all round player means.

Messi and Ronaldinho didn't/jhaven't excelled at all attributes of the game.

Ronaldo has and still does.

Even the most ardent Messi fans can acknowledge that Ron has it all.

There's a player who had a reputation for revolutionising the European game.

He was called the first true complete footballer, for his ability to defend, organise and finish, often in the same passage of play.

He joined Real Madrid when the club had not won a league title in 21 years.

With him, they won it at the first attempt.

They went on to win 8 in total during his 11 seasons at the club.

Under his lead, they won the first five European Cups.

He scored in every single one of those 5 finals, including a hattrick in the 5th.

His name, Alfredo Di Stefano.

He would be for you.

He isn't for Madrid fans.

Not to say he isn't getting there. He may yet.

cool story bro. now explain to me how would a player become the greatest for their club? what exactly does he have to win, break records etc

posted on 3/5/17

I don't agree with the first paragraph. I don't think the number of trophies has much or anything to do with it. Otherwise O'Shea would have been better than Gerrard, which he wasn't.
Le Tissier was another example, he wanted to stay at a club that won nothing, but he was still a super player.
Shearer won little, or Robbo but they were England greats. It's a team game, and the team decides the trophies. If Ronaldo played for Benfica for example, he would be the same player minus the trophies.

In my opinion he's the best player in the world at the moment and I'd personally have him over Lionel Messi. What he doesn't have in technical areas that Messi does he makes up for in other attributes and given his dedication I think he'll be at the top longer than Messi, despite being 2 and a half years older.

I'd probably have Ronaldo di Lima over either of the modern two however. At his best, he really could pick up the ball from anywhere and just go and score, it felt like. God of football.

Ronaldo is a brilliant player, you won't see me putting him down, but Messi is the GOAT for me.

I just told you what made Madrid's.

Turning around the fortunes of a club that's spent 20 years out in the cold and leading it in every area of the pitch to 8 league titles and 5 European Cups.

Making allowances for the different eras and situations, I'd say Ronaldo's closing in, but I don't think he's there yet.

Ask again in another couple of seasons.
