Vista won’t support an iTunes upgrade that meant I had to buy a new Laptop so my missus could register her iPhone 7.

Buy a new laptop for your missus phone? She can get a new phone as far as I would be concerned.
Why not just pirate a version of windows 10

Because i genuinely believed the old laptop was "friar tucked" any way
However purchasing the new laptop worked out seriously effing well in the end
First off Use Google for all your emulating needs, once you get a couple of sites you can bounce around there.
2. if you've ever got a problem with popups, malwarebytes will deal with nearly everything (and it's free)
3. Dosbox is the best dos emulator but it's command line based so can be a bit of a pain. (there are Gui's available but I've found them pants)
4. www.gog.com has swos for sale meaning it's already set upt. If you hunt the net there is an update for it but it's not up to date (about 3 years old).
4. Playstation emulators are a pain in the butt, Mamev32 is the best for arcade games, there's a bunch of sega ones that will play all versions of sega games
5. remember you can only use the emulator/game if you own the original
ppsspp is amazing, dawg
I completed metal gear peace walker.. man that game is so good
