West ham today

Klopp has done wonders with the limited squad he has but I feel the lack of investment in players and especially so in January is going to cost us a place in the CL.

I get what you're saying ARE but I disagree. If we fail to make champions league then it's not as a result of a lack of investment, it's because we've thrown away results or crumbled.

Our last 3 home games were palace, Bournemouth and Southampton. Our side was more than good enough to win all of those but we took just 2 points.

That's the issue.

With 2 games of the season to go, West Ham have only beaten 3 sides above them in the league (Spurs, Leicester and Bournemouth), they've only scored 19 goals at home all season (worse than their away form) and with 59 goals conceded only the bottom 5 have leaked more.

They also have huge injury problems with 8 players out who are arguably first team, including their captain and most of their midfield.

They have nothing to play for other than pride.

So, with all that in mind - how many do you think we'll lose by today then ARE?

Much as it would make life more stress free for me if you dropped points, I just don't see it happening. There is always some satisfaction anyway in watching West Ham get beat. The club with the most odious owners in British football. Including her ladyness Karen Brady and a galaxy of pimps and prnographers,

Its down to mentality now. There is no doubt what needs to happen, every player knows the season is this game.

The result will tell the football world whether liverpool are a club going places or a phoney club....it really is all on the players.

I stopped worrying when Bilic confirmed we are playing West Ham reserves.

I dreamt last night that it was a 1-1 draw and there was a BBC headline "Liverpool draw hands advantage to Arsenal".

Make of that what you will!!

I'm on the other side of the world so when the footballs on it's the middle of the night here. I dreamt Arsenal drew 1-1, woke up and Arsenal had just scored to make it 4-1. Bad way to wake up.

I'm not assuming anything. Even a win today and Middlesbrough next week will be tough. The pressure just to win that game next week will be massive. On paper we should win both, but in reality I'm not so confident about either game.

I have such little faith in our players to perform when it counts, been let down far too many times by this crop of players who always wilt under pressure.

Maybe they will finally prove me wrong but I look forward to Europa League next season! Hell I may actually be able to get tickets for matches for once!!

Have you guys seen how many injuries west ham have

posted on 14/5/17

Usually a side with nothing to play for at this point of the season lacks the edge to compete against a side who have as good a cutting edge as Liverpool.

I know the Saints result contradicts that but you did miss a penalty so it's not like you were never gonna win that game.

ive wanted you guys to trio up for the past few weeks but you went and won at Stoke, Watford and West Brom so I'm sure you'll do the business today.

Relax.

I'm quite bored of the constant doom and gloom on here lately. Some of you have reached manic depressive levels. I'll buck the trend and predict we'll win both games by at least two goals.

posted on 14/5/17

I'am quietly confident coz of the teams we've played away recently and won, Stoke, WBA and Watford. They didn't have the injuries West Ham have and they're safe so haven't got anything to play for. (Apart from 3pts like)

Or what Robb said

West Ham won there cup final last week and now they are back on the beach. Even Maf can't be asked to WUM. Easy 3 points.

We are due a win against West Ham and also due a really good performance too. Last time we played really well was probably Everton. We've been stumbling of late, I hope we can find form in this next week to get the results we need. Will be disappointing to have been in the top four virtually all season then end up finish 5th/6th.

I've been wummed more by Arsenal fans than Liverpool fans this season and I really like Klopp so I would quite like you guys to do it.

Plus I think Lallana is a top player and want to see how he does in the CL.

Agree on lallana, think he's one of the more under rated players in the league. People think of him the same as when he first joined us, but he's come on leaps and bounds under klopp.

Has added goals and assists to his game now and is more effective, plus he's one of the few English players who could go toe to toe with the Spanish top sides in technical ability, and I'd really like to see how he'd fair in a battle against Barcas midfield.

Pretty sure Lallana isn't underrated by anyone.....

He is by opposition fans. Quite often.

West Ham to do you today unfortunately lads.

When they stopped us getting top 4 last season it was like the biggest game they have had in a decade.

Terrible club.

Firmino ruled out of the match today.

Damn.

Lallana has been quality for a long time since southampton days only difference to now when he first joined is less injuries and more goals and assists.
